We went at about 7 pm on a Friday and waited less than 10 minutes for a table in the bar. This was a good start to a great meal! I tried the special - fried perch - as well as a cup of the potato cheese soup. And Spotted Cow beer.
The soup had an excellent texture (not gummy and thick like you get many places) and tasted good, but it wasn't as cheesy as I expected. The fish was excellent! It was lightly coated, not smothered in batter, so you could taste the fish. I also liked the cheesy potato casserole, which really did have a lot of cheese and just enough spice to make it interesting.
Service was friendly and quick without being rushed.
