“Good food and great history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

First and foremost, it's a restaurant. You can expect to see all of the classics on the menu if you go that route, but we went for the fish boil. Matt has been doing the fish boil a long time. He took the time to give us the history of the fish boil as well as answer any questions we had. The staff was very friendly. Our waitress was new. What she didn't know, she found out and gave us the information quickly. They have two prices, depending on how many pieces of fish you get. My wife got the single, I got the double. In looking at the sizes of the fish, I think we both got pretty close to the same amount. Try to get there early and get a seat outside.

“Not a Fan of Fish Boiled with Veggies”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

A potentially entertaining place if you watch the actual cooking of the 'fish boil' - just beware of there will be a lot of smoke; I also suspect they use some sort of lighter fluid to start the wood fire - I could smell some sort of chemical.

I don't like my fish or seafood boiled or overcooked, so I am not a fan of this particular dish, which I have had here. It is a popular place though, so if you are up in Door County for the first time, you could check out this place and see what others seem to like. You can watch the preparation for the dumping of the ingredients into the boiling water for free.

“Nice Door County Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

We went to a fish boil at Pelltier's and also ate breakfast there 4 mornings. The fish boil was excellent, and we enjoyed the informative but low key explanation that accompanied the process. We went for the first boil at 5 pm and were glad we did. This gave us a chance to find a table outside where we could watch the fish boil and enjoy the great evening weather. They do a new boil every half hour, so coming later would decrease your chances of getting the table you want. The meal was delicious.

We enjoyed the breakfasts very much. They have a choice of several combinations for $5.99 which were enough to fill us up. But they also have many other items on the menu. I loved the breakfast potatoes they fried up with the leftover boiled potatoes and onions from the previous night's fish boil (they didn't taste at all fishy). Gracious service added to the experience.

“Great Fish Boil”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

Have been there twice now - and will go again if I'm ever up that way. So fun to watch them do the boil and the food is very, very good. The wait staff was not unfriendly - just didn't go out of their way.

“Breakfast for one”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

Good food for breakfast. I had two eggs scrambled and was very happy with the food and the service. They offer a lot more including a nightly fish boil during the summer.
