“Worth The Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Okay this is an averaged priced restuarant for Fish Creek and maybe even a little on the cheaper side. The food never fails to be nothing but remarkable. We camp at the Park and always treat ourselves to carry out meals from them at least a couple of times during our stay. Excellent and healthy food.

“Small dining area but worth the wait for a table”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

We have tried our share of mediocre restaurants in Door County over the past 10 years while visiting family. When my sister-in-law suggested wood fired pizza after our hike, I was expecting ho-hum pizza at best. We we very pleasantly surprised!!

The restaurant is small and seating very limited. I suggest going at an "off" time (late lunch or early dinner), but would certainly wait for this pizza if no tables were available.

We tried a sausage and pesto pizza. The sausage appeared to be homemade and was seasoned nicely without overpowering the pizza. The pesto was added in just the right quantity. The crust was typical wood fired pizza crust ~ baked to the perfect crispy chewiness. They had a great selection of beer on tap in addition to some familiar wines. We ordered a bread basket while we waited for our pizza. The breads were all homemade, according to our server, and nothing like a typical boring basket found in some pizza joints. In fact, two weeks later and 700 miles away, I find myself craving their olive bread...

The ambiance was great. You could watch the pizza chef whirling dough in the air to form perfect discs. The entire place had a rustic charm and the waitstaff was very friendly, even though the place was packed with people waiting outside for a table (there is space inside to wait ~ it was just a warmish winter day).

“Great pizza, fun place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

My wife and I dined here on December 26th & 30th 2012. Both times we had their most excellent d-lux pizza. My wife washed it down with scrimshaw pilsner, I with homemade cherry soda. This is a fun and noisy place where everyone is having a good time while watching their pizza dough being hand tossed and then baked to perfection in their huge wood-fired pizza oven. The large d-lux pizza was far too large for us, the small d-lux pizza just right for the two of us.They also serve a variety of additional scrumptious sounding dishes, but unfortunately closed for the month of January before we got to try them. In summary: the food is outstanding, service prompt and friendly, and the prices reasonable. All in all a fun, noisy place with terrific food; we can't wait to go back!

“Delicious Pizza, Relaxed Atomsphere, Small Space”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Wild Tomato delivers when it comes to delicious, fresh pizza. The only downfalls I can see are that the space is too small for the numbers of people seeking this great pizza, and the bathrooms are actually located outside the building. Since Wild Tomato is so popular, the service, at times, is delayed. Even so, we were able to be seated, served, and left within an hour. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Door County.

Despite these two issues, I would highly recommend this pizza place. We ordered the onion strings as a starter and created our own pizza for lunch. Both options were wonderful and very filling.

“High quality pizza but a hectic, crowded, dining experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Perhaps the best pizza in Door Co is overshadowed by the overcrowded, overloud dining area and the frazzled wait staff. Order your pizza to go!
