“One of the best parts of Door County!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

Peninsula State Park is amazing & offers so much for its visitors! The hiking and biking trails are extensive and well-marked. Our favorite trail there is a hiking trail called "Eagle Trail". There is also great camping, but good luck getting a site unless you make reservations 11 months in advance. We enjoy the beach "Nicolet Beach" but it can get crowded in July and early August. There is also a boat landing, historic lighthouse, Eagle Tower to climb to get a great view from above. We have so many great memories from Peninsula State Park. I can't imagine anyone going there without finding something to do that they would enjoy!

“Great hiking in the Spring”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

We had the intention of driving through the State Park and renting bikes. During our drive, we stopped at Eagle's Bluff and decided to hike the eagle trail. It said it was difficult but being from Chicago, we thought we could manage in our Ked's and nice jackets. The hike was challenging, albeit our hiking "gear", or lack there of, was probably the cause of it. It tookus about an hour and 15 minutes to complete. It was a beautful hike that took you all the way to the waters edge and up to the rock cliffs. I will admit this was my first hike in at least 10 years and I loved it. Glad we came during the off season because there was only 2 other people we saw the entire time on the trail
