We found an amazing deal on TravelZoo. Stayed in a Lakeside Superior Room two nights for under $160!! AND it came with a restaurant voucher for $40. For that price, the room was amazing. It was FREEZING out, the lake frozen, and most of the hotel amenities not available. (boats, cruises, bonfires etc)

Our room was very clean and so comfortable. The thick dark curtains helped us to sleep too late. Comfy beds, and a great hot-tub. LOVED it.

The rooms claim to be lakeside. But that isn't a very accurate description. We could sort of see the lake by looking far to the right from our balcony. But this wasn't a consideration for us, since it was frozen solid and snow-covered.

We ordered a few drinks at the bar at Lola's on the Lake in the afternoon. Pricey, and slow service. (considering the restaurant was empty)
So we went down to Otto's. We ordered a pizza with our voucher, which was pretty good. But the staff here was a little rude.
The following day we used the rest of our voucher $ and ordered room service from Otto's... a burger and a sandwich. I wouldn't recommend it, but the prices aren't bad.

Our only complaint - there were quite a few intoxicated young adults near the pool area. Loud, rude, and annoying. Can't fault the hotel for that though.

We didn't try the spa... the prices seemed way to high.

We left the Osthoff feeling completely relaxed. We had a wonderful stay. For the price we paid, the stay was great. But I don't think I would stay again during peak season. Seems like peak season pricing is too high.

We loved it. My husband and 5 yr old took a trip, just to relax. Definitely ask for the North end, if you want an updated room. It is worth it to upgrade to the pond/lake view, otherwise you look at the parking lot. The spa is great...pricey, though. The restaurant and spa are both in the north building, so it's convenient. We didn't move the car at all for the 3 nites we stayed. Other restaurants are walking distance, and everything we did was kid friendly. Beach is small, but there is a nice place to order grilled food and sit outside. In the evenings there was a band, too.
We brought food so that we wouldn't have to eat out all of the time. Otherwise, the food is pricey and you would get tired of it quickly.
It is a perfect family Wisconsin vacation. Not for a week, just for a getaway weekend.
No DVD in the room...a bummer.
The TV's are all old. Would have been nice to have a flat screen.

Stayed there for 4 nights with our 2 sons. Loved the place and the accommodations. We had a 2 bedroom suite - nice and clean. The kids, ages 3 & 7, loved the outdoor pools, the indoor pool and the whirlpool (which was kept at a temp. comfortable for the little ones). My older son enjoyed some of the kids activities, the staff was always nice and friendly.

I will say the front desk staff and some of the other staff were not that great but it had very little effect on our stay. With a little patience you would get what you needed.

Beautiful grounds, very nice family destination...look forward to returning next summer.

Where to begin? Check in went okay, not that I would call the front desk staff the most polite front desk staff I've ever dealt with. We ordered room service at about 12:30PM on Saturday afternoon and the woman on the phone sid it would be 20 to 30 minutes... 45 minutes later our food came and the chicken on the chicken ceaser salad was not cooked all the way through. No major problems until at 9:45AM Sunday morning we call for bellhop service. The girl on the phone asks idf I would like immediate service, I say yes please. We had a brunch to attend at 10AM so at 10:20AM with the bellhop still a no show we drag our luggage and a set of golf clubs to our car! When I check out at 11AM I ask what the usual turnaround time for bellhop is and she said they only had two bellhops on staff at the time and one was gone on a shuttle. Perhaps management should staff another five or ten bellhops on a Sunday morning at checkout time, just a suggestion. When I told the front desk girl what had happened with our bellhop her response was a shrug of the shoulders... pretty classy for$250/night! I will never go to this resort again, and considering there are a number of other choices in the Elkhart Lake Village, I would highly recomend reaserching other resorts!
