“Good family motel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2007

This was billed as a 2 bedroom, but the 2nd is only a sleeping alcove. There was a full size bed that was in an alcove. The space was so tight I don't know how you would make the bed. It would be OK for kids I guess. The main sleeping area was in a loft area. For that area to be comfortably cool the people on the main area freeze. The room was clean and had a nicley stocked kitchnette. Had an indoor and outdoor pool. Would work well for a family with a couple of kids.

My husband, 13 month old child, and myself stayed three nights at this resort. All of the staff were very friendly. The suite that we were in was very clean. They had a nice outdoor and indoor pool and playground, which our daughter enjoyed. Plus you are within walking distance to the Egg Harbor shops and restaurants, as well as to a pier. The only complaint was that none of the bedrooms were big enough to put our pack-n-play in. We had an upstairs loft that just fit a king size bed, nightstand, dresser (with tv on it) and fan. Then the downstairs bedroom just had a bed in it, you couldn't walk into the room because it was just a bed. So if you are wanting to put a pack-n-play in a bedroom, I would let the staff know that when you are making your reservations, as I know they have different types of suites. But we had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed staying there!

We stayed Sept 15th & 16th or this year. When I booked the room, I told them it was for two adults & two children - 11yrs old. The room was smaller than a thimble! We knew it was one bedroom with a pull out sofa, so that would be fine for myself, my husband & our children. We could not even turn around in the room without bumping into each other. The sofa bed was stuck in the sofa & took forever to get it pulled out & could hardly get back in. (we didn't even use it the second night.) Coffee was supplied the first night but not the second & no creamer to be found in the room. The main bed was VERY uncomfortable & you would have had to be no taller then 5.5 to fit in it. Was cramped in the room with head at one wall & feet at the other. Not a very good design & very uncomfortable. We did not have an opportunity to voice our concerns with the managment as a High School girl was there when we checked out & not available the night before. (after hours) The room would have been fine for two people - no more ( no matter what size!) It was booked for four, it should have accomidated that number.

Very clean and well maintained. Excellent location. Just a short walk to nearby resturants, shopping, and a grocery store. We will definitely stay here again. The 'room' we had was the Spinnaker Loft with 1.5 baths. Plenty of room for our family of 4. There was a TV in the loft and in the downstairs. The downstairs TV had a DVD player. In the lobby you could rent DVDs for $3 a night and there was a good selection. The kitchen was great for making breakfast and lunch and had everything a family of 4 would need. The are also a number of gas grills well located around the resort, we used one and it was great.
Rooms were very quiet. The pools were a little on the small side, but were adequate for my 9 and 7 year-olds to have a few hours of fun each day. The water was clean and warm. The game room was tiny, but just a mile away is a very nice game room / pee-wee golf place.

My Fiance and I recently spent 4 days in Door County. THe trip was amazing..beautiful. We want to retire there when the time is right! As for the hotel. Egg Harbor is a convenient location. Not right in the middle of things but close enough for a short drive. The hotel is set back off the main road which is nice. The staff was very nice, the hotel was clean. We chose an efficiency and my only problem was that it was too small for two people. The bed was essentially in a closet space where the wall had been torn down to provide easier access. The bed was too small for two people. I would recommend this place for a comfortable budget stay not a romantic getaway hotel. The heated pool and jacuzzi were great amenities though.

Very nice accommodations, very clean, friendly, nice atmosphere, pretty location, seems like you are secluded out in the woods, but within walking distance of everything. Close to restaurants and a very nice market. Very reasonably priced, 3 night stay in off season for four was approx. $240. You have your own little condo type room, so you can cook if you want. Would go back.

Quiet, secluded, surrounded by beautiful mature trees, yet within easy (literally at the end of the driveway) walking distance to the quaint little town and shops of Egg Harbor. If that's what you're looking for, you've found it at The Landing Resort. The resort itself is very clean, modern, comfortable, and has a warm homelike feeling. They have one, two, and three bedroom condos with everything you need, including stove, refrigerator, pots, pans, dishes and eating utensils. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool, and whirlpool as well. Outside on the lawn you'll find picknic tables and gas grills. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and have made our stay a delight. The White Gull Inn in Fish Creek has a delicious breakfast (recommending the Cherry Stuffed French Toast, but it has cream cheese in it so beware if you don't like it), and the Mission Bay Grille in Sister Bay is wonderful for lunch. Don't forget the spectacular and romantic sunsets at the boat dock in the town of Egg Harbor, and if you're into hiking, Pototowami State Park and Penninsula State Park are the place's to go. They're beautiful! Enjoy your stay - I know we have!
