“Wonderful stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2011

My husband and I stayed here for my brother's wedding in Door County. The location is beautiful and convenient. Right downtown Egg Harbor - walking distance to many restaurant choices and shopping. Wooded, quiet location - no road noise and you felt like you were truly away from it all. The lobby was cozy with couches, a fireplace, many coffee choices and hot apple cider and fresh apples from a local orchard.
Our room was very nice. We stayed in a flagship loft deluxe. It would have been a great place for a longer stay. Full-size refrigerator, small stove and oven, dishwasher, stocked with dishes, silverware, etc. The stairs to the bedroom upstairs are steep and narrow - not for everyone - but fine for us. The bed was comfy and we found that the extra pillows in the closet on the main level were much more comfortable than the overstuffed ones on the bed.
We definitely did not use the room to it's full potential as we were busy and on the go most of the weekend, but we would definitely stay there again for a more relaxing weekend.

We stayed in the Spinnaker Loft (1.5 baths). The room was spotless. Even the kitchen utensils, dishes, glasses, pots and pans were good quality and very clean. It also has a very sweet little porch/balcony. This room is in the building farthest from the main building. The main building. which is near the pools, seems to attract families with younger children, and if you are one of those, that may be the desired location for you. But if you prefer a very quiet room, I suggest the Spinnaker loft which is all the way in the back of the lot.

I noticed in some reviews comments about how steep the staircase to the loft is. I didn't find that to be the case. From the reviews, I was picturing some very European, almost vertical staircase. It's a bit twisty, but quite manageable. Still, I was glad that we had the half bath upstairs so I didn't have to negotiate it in the middle of the night.

The resort is very conveniently located. But it is hardly what most would consider a "resort." Granted there are a couple of small pools, and a volleyball court, and one or two other small sportsy things, but the grounds are fairly small. On the other hand, if what you are looking for is an attractive, clean room with a pleasant staff, I'd suggest you consider The Landing.

Not what we expected at all. Basement room with a dehumidifier running constantly.

The service at the Landing was great. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. We were in the 400 block of rooms on the ground level. The room we stayed in was large enough for our family of 3. The adults had a private bedroom and our son stayed on the pullout bed in the living room. The kitchen in the unit was small but nice to have to make meals and refrigerate all of the fudge that we purchased. The location was perfect for a short walk to dining, shopping, and the marina. We loved both the indoor and outdoor pools and the hot tub, but they were all a bit small at the crowded times 8-10pm. The Landing offered many sport options that kept my 8 year old very busy. We would to the Landing Resort.

Room Tip: Ask for a room far from the basketball court and the indoor pool-- could be noisy.

1st trip to Door County with the wife and 3.5 month old son - we read the good reviews of the Landing and it did not disappoint. Great location near the market and beach in Egg Harbor, easy to get around and not need the car!

We stayed in a Spinnaker 1 bedroom: biggest complaint was the small, small bedroom, which barely fit a queen bed. Room was adequate, if not a bit dated. Would like to have had some paper towels / dish soap provided for the kitchen. Friendly staff and great to have all the free coffee all day! Would return to the Landing in the future, but get a bigger room. Also, very nice to have free high-speed internet (which worked most of the time) - a huge unexpected plus.

Thank you, thank you for a wonderful 4 days. Your resort is exactly as posted on your website. We could not have asked for anything better...our room (Flagship) was perfect, the bed was like sleeping in our beds at home, clean - clean - clean, loved having the full size fridge & kitchen, the patio outside was perfect & the water pressure in the shower - fantastic!

Most of all would like to thank you for the VERY friendly staff! We WILL stay here the next time we are in Door County!!!

Room Tip: Flagship is perfect for 2 if you are needing nighttime privacy...
