“Good Steaks, casual atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2011

You can get a good steak. Expect a very casual decor with peanuts shells on the floor, etc. Prices are reasonable. Recommended for casual steak dinner

“A busy place on Friday and Saturday night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2011

When they first opened the food was fantastic. As soon as they established their client base the quality of food went done. The food is still good but your typical chain restaurant style food. Tons of free peanuts. The staff was friendly. It's worth checking out but stay away on Friday and Saturday nights...the place is packed like crazy.

“Outstanding!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2011

Beats Outback hands down! Excellent steak, great service and decent prices. The sirlion steak is awesome and was cooked medium rare perfectly! Third Texas Roadhouse I've been to in three different states and I will search them out everywhere I go...yes it was that good!

“Good food, good for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2011

Steak was great (had it smothered with mushrooms which were not overly greasy). Pulled pork was pretty good. Childrens meals had plenty of food. Loud environment which is well suited for children.

“Great Food, If Not a Real Roadhouse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2011

Texas Roadhouse is a chain restaurant with a specific shtick - the play on the classic roadhouse - bar, food and live country music. They go far the canned music with the occasional forced line dance of staff, and the bar is more corporate than dirty, but the steaks are good, prepared well and served fast.

I enjoy the TR - it is a consistently good chain where the highly seasoned food tastes good and if the same in every location, is at least made fresh in every location, including the sweet bread they serve everyone. All the sides are fresh made, which definitely puts them ahead of virtually every other chain, and they all taste fine.

I have been to the Eau Claire TR twice, with consistent results - good food, ok service. They run their kitchens very consistently, but their staff training is a little uneven. Even though the crowd had thinned by the time we were done, the waitress kept pushing us out, trying to hurry us up.

On a side not, your not at a real roadhouse if you can get Sam Adams beer but not a Lone Star or a Shiner Bock - common - if your going to pretend, at least serve the beer.

Overall, well liked, as always, with good food and the best steak for a chain until you get up to the serious ruth chris type money.
