I wasn't planning on staying here originally, but after my trade show was over, the weather report showed a nasty storm moving in, and I didn't want to drive well into the night into a snow storm advertising "adverse to impossible driving conditions". So, I booked this hotel to ride out the storm.
Overall, the experience was good. Even using discounts, it's a bit higher than what I really like to pay, but then again, I've paid more for far, far less. Overall room quality was excellent, the internet worked fine, and the sleep quality was good.
Irritants that I noticed: The ice machine was spotty at best... and I mean that literally. The ice dispensed with black spots on it. I pointed this out to the front desk, and they told me that they had a call in for maintenance, but there was nothing that they could personally do about it. That's not a big surprise there, I really don't expect that the gal running the register would be an expert in fixing ice machines, but it was annoying that I couldn't get clean ice.
Oh, and the ice machine had once of those "do not fill coolers" signs on it.
This is a two story property, and if there is an elevator, I didn't spot it. Luckily, I got a ground floor room.
As another reviewer noted, there is no covered loading/unloading area for guests to use. The covered area as shown in the photos is actually just a walkway, you not only have to leave your car at the end of that, but it kind of halfway blocks the only entryway into the parking lot.
One annoyance (again minor), was that the credit card authorization pre-authorized for $10.00 more than the actual charge. I had to watch this for several days before it finally settled down and actually charged what it was supposed to charge. Something to know ahead of time, so that you don't get worried that they are charging more than they are supposed to.
The location compared to my trade show was excellent, and there was also several restaurants and a small grocery store nearby.
Overall, a decent night's stay, albeit a bit more spendy than what I usually go for.

Thank you for your very honest and thorough review. And also thank you for bringing the ice machine issue to our attention; we did get the ice machine professionally cleaned and repaired so there is no more "spotty ice" issues. Please contact us again for a place to stay when you are in the area!
