SImply the best place around! Service is amazing great seafood meats cheeses and desserts...we had a great bottle of wine and had a relaxing evening. Its small and personal. If your cheap and old you wont like this place like the users review on may 4th. my husband and I cant wait to get back!

“For something different, this is an interesting restaurant but too expensive for the quality”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2011

Jake the owner, is personable, helpful and the best part of the restaurant. The classic cheese fondue appetizer ($13) comes with soft bread so it breaks apart when dipping in thicker cheese (need crusty harder bread) . The meat entrees are from $43 to $49 which you cook in a beef type broth so your meat is basically boiled and not attractive looking. Nothing remarkable about the 4 dipping sauces for the entrees. The chocolate caramel fondue ($13) was not remotely thick so that most of the chocolate slips off the apples, bananas, etc, because it was thinned too much with sweetened condensed milk. Pretzels were not crisp for the dessert fondue. Table was not wiped off well (cheese remaining from previous diner), fondue bowl was chipped, etc. I like charming but this is a very old and not so clean dining room. The locals appeared to be enjoying themselves both at the bar and at dinner but for me the prices charged did not match the quality of the food.

“Looking for something different for dinner? This is the place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2011

Chose the restaurant after a friend had mentioned she'd heard good things about it. We knew it was small so a reservation is a must if you want a guaranteed table- only 4 tables & a bar. We chose the main dinner entree that included beef, chicken, tuna, & lobster. There was plenty of meat for 2 people, but wished there had more of veggies- only got a couple of mushroom halves & a couple pieces of broccoli. Could have had more choices like baby red potatoes. The dessert was to die for! We did the mint chocolate fondue & it was amazing! The server was friendly but perhaps a little under dressed, but still he was attentive & he did a complimentary "Dirty Girl Scout" shot with us at the end, nice touch!! I think next time we'll do cheese fondue, salad, & dessert!!! Oh & as far as price we felt it was just as expensive as Melting Pot- for 2 of us, including a glass of wine & 2 mixers it was $100 with tip. Worth every penny? Hmmm maybe not but it was a fun experience overall- definitely better than the same ol' thing!

“Best in Cedarburg no question”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2011

After reading a recent article in the milwaukee journal my wife and another couple decided to try it. I must say everything was perfect! We enjoyed a smoked gouda based fondue, surf and turf entree, and an AMAZING dessert! We spent about 25 dollars per person plus some more for wine. This place has an amazing wine list as long as you dont like white zin. We like real wine. Its a small place so made sure you call them for a table...we were lucky enough to get the last one on a thursday night. We met the owner(Jake) and server(Ashley) both of whom were very nice and knowledgable of the menu. We cant wait to return asap. We are even booking a private party for our sons birthday. Best in Cedarburg and way better then the melting pot and cheaper!

“For the $$ we paid, felt like they were trying to rush us!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2011

From the moment we sat down, the waitress and hostess gave us little time to look over the drink/wine list. Within 15 minutes, they asked us repeatedly. Food was pretty pricey for what we got. Appetizers were fondue that never was smooth enough to stick to the dippers. Dippers were standard bread, large hard to eat chunks of raw carrots and tiny pieces of celery. Not really very inviting. multipe times through out dinner the girls came by to ask if we were done. Place is tiny and was very noisy. Not a great place to enjoy a conversation over a $9 glass of wine. Tables were crowded together. Family with babies and small children dropping things on the floor, crying, etc.. Most likely wont be going back.
