“A great family campground that's clean, fun and well run!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2012

I admit that my kids had to drag me here. I've stayed at two other Jellystones over the years and they've been like sleeping in the middle of an old Chuck E Cheese.

But this campground (all are franchised) feels new though it's clearly well established. Decent sized, wooded lots, plenty of full hook-up sites that we were able to book only two weeks out and Exceptional kids amenities. The pool is a mini water park, jumping pillow, full sized lit basketball and sand volleyball courts are perfectly maintained.

And the staff is Everywhere and friendly. My kudos especially to the young lady doing express check in (yep, that's right). The line of cars went out to the road but from the time we hit the line to the time we pulled into our campsite only five minutes had passed. She pulled out a packet with all our reservation info, wrist bands specific to each person by age, activity schedule, map and we were in our way. Nicely done!

If you're an experienced family car camper (i.e.: tent by the car, popup, fifth wheel, bus), you'll love this Jellystone. The staff is friendly, smart and helpful. The place is clean. The camp sites are large and tree lined. The activities are unrivaled by KOAs or other Jellystones. The pool, laser tag, jump pillow, cart and bike rentals, mini-golf, candy bar bingo, etc. Will keep the kids super happy.

We didn't experience any electrical problems, plane noises, and the pool seemed campground clean (not Sandals Bahama resort clean). There was one snippy manager roaming about, but we chatted her up one day and she loosened up. She's just overworked, I suspect. The college kids who do the activities were all dolls though. SO nice to the kids.

All the other reviewers are right on target! This is a very nice campground with updated bath houses. Clean campground & very friendly & helpful staff! The wrist band was a little extreme - $7.00 per person per day (family of 6 for 4 days - extra $168.00!) However, this fee includes: Splash pad (with water bucket), decent size pool, waterslide, water wars, laser tag, mini golf, 2 parks & jumping pillow, plus some daily activities. There are extra charges for certain activities...which is the same with any campground.

Very close to Milkwaukee, plus near to stores as well (about 3 miles away). Also great campground to visit Great Lakes Dragstrip, Milwaukee, Harley Davidson, Jelly Belly Factory (be sure to take this tour during the week - so you can see the workers, instead of a video).

Also, I did not hear any planes (as someone else posted), but I could hear the train off in the distance...but it was never bothersome...and since it is also close the highway, sometimes you could hear either the semi-trucks or motorcycles...if you are a light sleeper, it may cause you problems...but I slept wonderfully!

Will be back again!

We stayed at Jellystone Caledonia the week of the Fourth of July 2012. We have a motor home and found the spots for them to be somewhat close together. Plus, our fire ring was to the side and behind our spot which made it very inconvenient as we were closer to our neighbor's spot than our own.

It was extremely hot the week we were there and I heard numerous complaints from different campers that breakers kept flipping. One person was quite concerned because he and his neighbor bith had two dogs in their campers and were afraid to leave in fear that the power would go out yet again. The person at the campground office replied by saying, "what do you want me to do about it?". I was in the office at that time and heard the whole conversation. It's also to be noted that the campground was not completely full. There were many open spots, so I can't imagine what would happen if it were full.

The jumping pillow was filthy! I have been to places with jumping pillows before, and have never seen one this disgusting. There is sand all around it, which I have also seen before without this problem. It was like this the entire time we were there, so obviously it was never hosed off or cleaned.

The pool was disgusting. You could not see your feet and the deepest part was just over 4 foot! There must have been a problem with the filtration system because we also saw hair in it more than a few times.

The Ranger Station is where you can buy souvenirs, camp essentials, redeem game room tickets, and where You can get hand-dipped ice cream and coffee drinks, get your golf club/ball for mini golf, etc. With all that going on, you would think they would staff more than one person in the Ranger Station. Not so. At least not on weekdays, and during a busy holiday week, it was quite frustrating.

The game room is small and had a few games that were not functioning. My daughter played a game where you get a gumball, and just before the gumball came out, we noticed a moth flying around INSIDE the machine.

One of the activities for kids was peanut butter mosaics. They actually smeared peanut butter on the kids' arms and gave them Goldfish crackers to stick to it. Really??!!

On the up side, the staff was friendly and my husband and daughter both loved the new waterslide.

We will definitely try another Jellystone in the future, but it will not be this one.

Deluxe cabins were very clean, air conditioned, perfect for small family. Screened-in porch was perfect with ceiling fan!! Lots of activities for the kids, swimming pool was a bit crowded but that was due to the heat we had. The service was good; wish there was a bit more "patrol" by the park staff to ensure others campers were abiding by the rules. the kids activities were a bit rushed...would suggest having a "crafting cabin" where ppl could come and go to do activities as they please and not be restricted to certain activities at certain hours. The mini golf course and pedal carts need to be better maintained. Other than that, great campground! We will be back!!

Love this campground! The people that work here are so friendly! Bathrooms were clean and updated. They had wo very nice playgrounds and a jumping pillow. We stayed at site #2... a pull through site that was very nice. Just enough trees to be private. My 6 year old loved the activities that they had to offer and there water park was a great deal of fun. We played mini golf... but never got around to the laser tag... we will do that next time! They had a dance night too which we enjoyed. A+ on this campground. Can't wait to go back!
