Chose this over the Radisson and Crowne Plaza in Wauwatosa because of the rates, and paid for it in other ways. We had the misfortune of hitting the place while a Little League group was staying there, and they acted as little leaguers will, racing the luggage carts up and down the halls outside our room. When it went on a little too long and we complained, the hotel couldn't have cared less.

My pet peeve is hotels gouging people on internet access. I realize that this is usually a business expense real people don't pay for, but with free WiFi almost everywhere now, it's ridiculous that hotels (like this one) still charge $10 a day for it.

This property is somewhat poorly laid out. It appears that they have added on to the original, older building, so the lobby is quite a jog from the room elevators. Too, the layout is rather confusing, with four distinct wings, so it is easy to get lost trying to find the parking lots, for example, which also require a long walk to get to.

The bathrooms are way too small for a modern hotel. The king room we had was otherwise nice, if a bit small, with a decent hi-def TV, plus fridge and microwave. The little sundry store with coffee bar was a ripoff with discourteous staff to boot.

I wouldn't recommend the place heartily, but for the price it might be OK if you happen to catch it on a good day.

The Sheraton Brookfield was wonderful! I came into town for a wedding/reception in the Milwaukee area at the end of June 2008. From the moment we checked in, till the moment we checked out, we had a pleasant experience. The front desk attendant, I believe his name was Aboud, upgraded our room to the Starwood Preferres Guests level, even though we reserved through Priceline. We had called earlier asking how much it would be for a microwave oven and a fridge ($10 each extra per day). When we arrived in the room, a fridge and microwave were there! I called the front desk to see if we were being charged extra, and Aboud told us we had been upgraded! It was such a sincere and thoughtful touch.

The rooms were contemporary and elegant, with dark cherry furniture. The bed was comfortable and the toiletries were classy and fragrant.

The hotel is only a 15 minute drive into Milwaukee.
There is a big mall in walking distance, literally next door. So it's quite convenient. And if you like Mexican food, Pedro's is 1 mile away and an excellent choice.

My entire experience at the Sheraton Brookfield ($50 per night through Priceline.com) made me want to become a Starwood Club member!

I will definitely stay here again when visiting Milwaukee.

After reading the previous reviews regarding this Sheraton, I thought it would be difficult for it to live up to its glowing reviews- but it sure did! Newly remodeled guestrooms, stylish public spaces, flat screen TV's, and superior service all add up to a wonderful stay. The super comfortable beds with actual down pillows assures a restful night. This may be the quietest hotel I have every stayed at, and not because of few guests-it was almost full. I did not hear anyone in hallways, doors shutting, people talking, all those annoying things, once I was in my room. Located in a great suburban Milwaukee location, easy access to downtown, right next to a regional shopping mall, you will have an upscale relaxing stay at the Sheraton Brookfield.

This hotel is really lovely after undergoing a complete renovation recently. The room was beautifully decorated with modern yet homey touches inluding Bliss bath products, and we especially loved the flat screen TV. The most important thing to me when staying in a hotel is that it is clean, and our room here was immaculate. We got a great deal on Hotwire and I knew from doing research and comparing ammenities that this would be the hotel. We paid less for two nights at the Sheraton than one night at other places in Brookfield we looked into. One huge advantage (for us) is that although Hotwire cannot guarantee non-smoking rooms, this hotel is entirely smoke-free so you will get a non-smoking room regardless. The staff was incredibly polite, and I was given a choice of bed size and floor preference at check in. The bathroom counters were small, but that's minor. Also, you may want to request a room that is not on the highway side as you can hear the occasional truck go by. We turn the fan on low at night so it didn't bother us. The workout room is fantastic and modern. Overall a really great experience - easy to get to Milwaukee, quiet and safe. Would definitely recommend.

We got an excellent rate of $40 per night, we stayed Fri-Mon. It was myself, my husband and our two little kids. Although we payed through Priceline, I called to ask the hotel if we could upgrade our room to a king suite and they said we could for $20 per night, since we only paid $40 to begin with, I decide to go with it. We had a large room with a pull out couch, we were a little dissapointed that the couch only pulled out to a single bed, but since our kids are only 4 and 2, they were able to fit. The beds were very comfy!!
The pool at this hotel is small, but again, with little kids it didn't matter, the big, expensive water parks are just too much, so this was just their size. And there was a small whirlpool also which was nice and hot!
We didn't try the restaurant at the hotel, we generally don't because there are too many great restaurants around Milwaukee, but the food always smelled great and didn't look outrageously overpriced!!
The location of the hotel was fantastic, very easy on and off the highway, plus there are tons of places to eat, shop, etc just around the corner on Bluemound.
The staff at this hotel was great. There were literally 100+ hockey players and parents staying at the same time as us and they were out of control, running down the hallways, screaming and just being crazy in general. We didn't complain, but someone must have (I'm sure lots of people did as they consumed our whole wing of the hotel) and the hotel security got on it right away. We would never hold something like that against a hotel, but it's great to see that they were ready to handle something like that and were concerned about all their guests, not just the groups.

  • Liked — The fantastic location to Milwaukee
  • Disliked — heating , covered parking would have been cool, just a suggestion!! It's cold in Wisconsin!!

We booked this hotel because it was billed as the "Customer Favorite!" and the price was really modest for a 3.5 star rating. The price was listed as $54 but Hotwire added $13 tax and fee.
The exterior and the public areas of the hotel looked new and clean. The indoor pool is very well maintained but small and shallow. It is best for little kids rather than for adult lap swim. The exercise room has great equipment and TV. A small area with three computers and printer was convenient but did not provide much privacy. The room was not big but very clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The new HDTV worked great.
The faucet stuck halfway and gave a lukewarm shower at best. The toilet bowl did not look dirty but seemed like it could take another scrubbing to shine.
The staff were friendly and helpful. When I was having problem getting online at the public computer, she allowed me to use one of their computer.

We had 4 rooms and children. This is the perfect Milwaukee hotel. We stayed on a weekend and the pool and rec area are the best, new, clean, big and well maintained. The staff could not have been nicer.
