I've been going to this spot for the 2 or 3 years it has been open and the place has really morphed over that period. The owner, Andreas, has gradually and successfully changed the emphasis from pizza and sandwiches to that of a full service Italian Bistro-style restaurant with a wide-ranging menu, white table cloths, a lighting scheme that casts a starry sky onto the ceiling, complete with live piano music/vocal accompaniament in the winter and a deck densely fringed with large palm trees in the summer. There is a fairly extensive wine list and if you find something unusual you like, you can buy a bottle to enjoy at home. I haven't found anything I don't really enjoy on the menu, but soups, salads and desserts are particularly outstanding as are the pizzas. This little place is well off the beaten paths of Bluemound Road and Capitol Drive, next to the old Brookfield Railroad station.
