let's start with this - local food is neither italian nor german, austrian nor swiss. it is a very simplified version of the above. with this in mind, food at ciola is simple and rustic. a simple piece of meat with bone, potatos and such.
all this at quite steep prices - dinner for 4 adults came to 170 euro (3 starters, 2 beers, 4 mid range mains, 2 glasses of wine, 4 puddings and 1 coffee). taste wise it was oki, nothing special (there are discrepancies in the german/english translations - watch out for 'ribs' - these are not spare ribs but rather a t bone).
nice interior, good service.
