Baraboo , Wisconsin is a very nice town to stay in exploring mid Wisconsin. We actually stayed at Devil's Lake State park a few miles from Baraboo. The park is wonderful with great hiking trails, camping and beach/picnic area. It is very PET friendly allowing dogs to go on most state park trails and even have a separate picnic beach area for dogs. Nice famer's market on Thrusday, near Wisconsin Dells...lots of place to eat.....lots of miniture golf and other state parks near by. This really is a nice city to stay. We were there for 5 days and could easily stayed twice that many days and not been bored. Devil's Lake is considered one of Wisconsin's most popular parks and I can see why.

We traveled to Baraboo during August 2009. It's a very nice place, specially for children.
We visited Dr. Evermor’s park to see the amazing metal sculpture Foreverton. We could spend there hours...
Then, we went to the circus world museum. This is not too big museum, and the live shows are very special. We could spend there hours...
