We went there to escape the hustle of the tourism industry in WI Dells and Lake Delton for a day, and absolutely loved it. Went hiking for half a day, and enjoyed the absolute serenity and the wonderful vistas of this place.
Then we went to the boat launch and rented a canoe (first time we had done this as a family of four; and the first time in a boat for our 3 year old son). Paddling on the lake, we saw some excellent rock formations, explored a few shady bays, saw beautiful water lilies and some wildlife up close.
The place is obviously popular with campers who are seeking a quieter alternative to the somewhat noisy campsites in Wisconsin Dells. We didn't stay there overnight, so I can't comment on that experience - however, this is definitely where I would go if I was looking for a place to pitch my tent.
The family absolutely loved this experience, and we can only highly recommend it!
