The first time we tried to eat at Draper's Cafe on our most recent trip to the Greenbrier we were told there was a 30-minute waiting list. So, the next day, we were the first in line when Draper's opened up at 11 in the morning. You can't get good chili dogs very often these days and some ice cream parlors, for whatever reason, don't include sodas. But Draper's answered the call. Delicious. It's a great place for sandwiches and ice cream, a lighter step away from the Main Dining Room or Jerry West's 44 West or Forum or Sam Snead's. After the Casino was introduced in 2009, Draper's was moved from the space now occupied by the Forum to a spot overlooking the Casino and near the very upscale clothing stores. It is more popular than ever, especially with kids to prefer ice cream to steak.
