“Interesting but over rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

The tour is highly rated and over priced. Yes, you get to see blast doors and hear a the story but most of the area has been repurposed so there is little to see or experience. It is not much different that other fallout shelter except it was for the members of government. It would have been worth $10 compared to other tours but not the $30. Maybe the price just reflects the fact that it is located at the Greenbrier.

“Excellent - Interesting - Excellent Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Long hidden Bunker beneath the Greenbrier - tour guide was excellent and it was very interesting. The tour is worth the $25 price.

“The Bunker at the Greenbriar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

For those who remember the years of the Cold War with Russia, the fear of nuclear attack and the phenomenon of fall out shelters, the Bunker is a must for those staying at or near the Greenbriar Resort. The tour is well worth the $25 fee as you learn about one of the best kept secrets of the US Government, decades before the NSA spying scandal.

“Long Hidden Secret”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Long hidden beneath the beautiful and opulent Greenbrier Resort lies a tremendous bunker built for the protection of the members of Congress during the Cold War should there be a nuclear attack. It was built and maintained for 30 years in total secrecy and kept in a constant state of readiness. The two hour tour of this unique facility, offered by Greenbrier, is extensive and extremely informative, albeit a bit costly. We went there specifically to see the bunker and were given an unexpected day-pass which enabled us to roam the grounds and the magnificent public rooms of the entire resort. Both the tour and our wanderings made for a most exceptional experience and memorable day!

“Interesting, but overpriced!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

Our guide was knowledgeable, tour was interesting, but we thought expensive for a 90 minute tour, including a short DVD. Our guide pointed out that tours are strictly for 'money making.'
