“The Bunker”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

This is well worth the time to see a real World War II bunker where Congress would have stayed in the event of a nuclear threat. It is built right into a mountain and there is no hint of it from the grounds. We often hear about secret places like this but it is fascinating to see it up close.

“Casino at the Greenbrier”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

We enjoyed having the casino available at the Greenbrier. It is our understanding that the area formerly called the Bunker was converted a couple of years ago into the Casino. This was a nice feature at the resort. We were able to stay within the resort area and had everything we needed available to us. This was especially nice as the weather was not very nice. Be aware that gentlemen must wear jackets to enter the Casino after 7:00 pm.

“Interesting Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

This is an excellent 90 minute tour of the bunker. The guide was very good and provided a lot of information on how the bunker was to be used and how it was hid for thirty years. This is a neat experience to see how the government was to be housed during a nuclear attack. The Greenbrier is a beautiful resort. We are glad that we made a stop here.

“Not much left to see”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

You get a little more than you can read about by going. Most artifacts have been removed; however, it was still interesting to see and experience.

“Interesting”

Not much else to add. Pricey for a couple at $60 plus tip. Good guide. A little long. Fascinating history.
