TJ's Sports Garden is what I like to refer to as an tourist bar. They're located across the street from a hotel and there's another within walking distance. Mostly its for out of town people who want a place that's easily accessible and right on the main drag of National Road in Wheeling. The bartenders are consistently good and the service is spot on. They have plenty of big screen tv's and a small flat screen at every table. Pool tables are very good if you'd like to shoot a round, and there are other games for children. The problem is with the food. Most of the entrees and sandwiches are bearable, but, for a bar, the appetizers stink. They're frozen and usually not cooked enough. The hot wings taste like they've been doused in ketchup. If you're going to give it a try, I'd suggest the Jovanni Sandwich or a Cheesesteak. Also, I'm not a fan of coleslaw, but everyone else loves the coleslaw from TJ's. Word of warning: It can get very crowded on a Friday or Saturday or Sunday afternoons if there's football on.
