We just went here to celebrate our anniversary. It was a rainy weekend which meant we didn't get to eat by the river but the house is very cute.
The food at dinner was good, but we didn't feel it was amazing as we had been told. First we were given a menu which had happy anniversary printed on it. Very sweet surprise. Te waitress acknowledged our anniversary which was very nice. Maybe it was the waitress that took away the magic though. See the next question was now many years which was fine. Then it went south. You see the tables are very close so everyone can hear. She decides the next question is "do you have kids?" This too is ok but when we replied no she then said " wow, how do you make it 11yrs without kids? Are you going to have kids? Are you planning ? Is it in the cards?" As you can imagine other tables were turning around looking and even commented after she left that it was too personal. We answered with a simple I don't know bc it was none of her business that this is something we have struggled with!
Dessert was very cute and had happy anniversary in icing on the plate. It was the best part of the meal. I had creme brûlée and my husband hazelnut chocolate cake. Yum!
When we got to our room we received a nice card for our anniversary from the owners.
We were thankful not to see the same waitress at breakfast and breakfast was VERY good!!!!
