“Food bar sub-par”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Had the hot bar but was disapointed. Food dry and tasteless. Iced tea was good and waitress was nice.

“nice little place for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

Stopped in here today ( July 17th ) on our return trip as La Carretta was not open at lunch time and we found it to be nice. The interior is dated, however we landed a gem of a waitress named "Kim". Kim was amazing and did not "push" us to order, eat and dash.....

At Shoney s they offer a "buffet" and menu items. We chose to order off the menu and my G/F ordered the turkey burger which comes with avacado and she states it was very good.

I had the turkey club on sourdough bread ( OMG ) loved it......

As stated earlier, the decor is not too chic, but it served a purpose. The restaurant and washrooms were clean. Locals come into Shoney's and seem to enjoy the fare.

Ohhh I forgot to mention the dessert we shared....apple crumble served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream...the kicker : they serve it in a cast iron pan, warmed up in the oven before you get it....I am not a dessert guy...but OMG it was fantastic.....

“Nice Family Stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

The waitress was very friendly - a typical Shoney's that we all know! The restaurant was clean and the buffet was adequate.

“Not Prepared At All”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We went to Shoney's for the Father's Day buffet, and we were not impressed. They were very busy and understaffed. We paid around $16 per person for a subpar buffet that didn't have a very wide variety of food. The rolls were burned and tasteless, the mashed potatoes were dry, and the fried chicken was overly salty. They couldn't keep plates or food at the buffet, so we had to wait every time we wanted to go back to get refills. Not to mention, the two fathers in our group didn't even receive their free Father's Day cake.
