“Despite construction, it was nice.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013 via mobile

The Country Inn & Suites is converting to LaQuinta. So they are doing renovations. This was not an issue for us. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. We were traveling with our dog and they were willing to make some special accommodations for our buddy.

We stayed two nights. The first morning they had scrambled eggs and bacon. It was delicious. I was looking forward to the same the next am. But nooooo, they had breakfast sandwiches. While it was still good, it was a bit of a disappointment for me. Fresh fruit was great. All in all, a much better than average free buffet.

We would stay here again.

Stopped in to summersville last nite to assist a friend and decided to stay over at this hotel. Honestly the hotel want to bad. Booking the room was fast and easy. When I got in to the room, it was spacious an the beds were comfortable. The only down fall, due to the construction that is going on and the room is outdated, could not get hot water in that huge tub, I believe paying over $100 is alittle excessive. I will say that when hotel is complete an back to the 20th century, it will be a really nice hotel. I won't stay there again until it is complete.

We stayed at the Summersville Inn and suites for one night July 27th, 2013. The people we were travelling with had a flat tire so we needed to stop overnight. Upon entering the Inn we were greeted right away with a smile and a be right with you. After finishing up with the previous customer Tabitha gave us a price on 2 rooms and even honoured our CAA discount. She did explain that they were renovating and gave us the heads up that the pool was out of service. She is what excellent customer service is all about. We explained to her our dilemma with the tire and she said that she would see what she could do to help us.
The room was basic, you could say a bit out of date but our whole family agreed that it was very clean. Upon check in we were given a 10% discount to eat at Applebees just a few minutes away. Again our whole party agreed that the customer service there was also top rate, and the food was excellent. In the morning the Inn serves a wonderful hot and cold breakfast. It was quite a nice spread and the employees always kept it stocked and clean. This inn also has free wireless internet. I have to say that if you are looking for 5 star this is not the place for you but if you're looking for an overnight stay with great customer service, clean rooms and free internet and breakfast then this is the spot for you.
I must also add that my husband said that the girl who worked at the front desk the morning of July 28th was also extremely helpful in regards to getting someone to repair our friends tire.
Thanks again for relieving some stress!

I have stayed at this hotel before and decided to stop there again recently. When I produced by Carlson card at check in, I was told the premises were no longer operated by Country Inn & Suites and it was currently operating as Summersville Inn & Suites! it is not currently affiliated to any hotel brand but a notice in the lobby advises the owners plan to renovate the premises and convert to a LaQuenta flag. It certainly needs renovating and wasn't in the good conditon I had enjoyed previously. The place needs work but some good cleaning would help right now. The ice machine on my floor was broken and it looked at if it had not been used in a while. Wouldn't stay there again.

We stayed one night in September of 2012 while traveling. Changed room because first room was not clean. Second room wasn't much better. Old carpet and bedding and floor needed a good vacuum. Had to call front desk for missing items in bathroom. Pool was OK but hot tub was not hot, it was cold. What's the point! Wouldn't stay here again unless they update. Staff was OK, always apologetic.

Tried to make a reservation online but couldn't specify a king size bed. Called to make a reservation but got there and found out our room didn't have a refrigerator which we needed for medication storage. I've stayed at Country Inn and Suites a lot and this was the first time I didn't get a fridge. Didn't even think to ask over the phone about it. Just goes to show you that you have to always ask for what you need. Our room was a nice size and clean but very noisy. The hotel is in a shopping center and you could hear all of the road noise. We use earplugs but if you didn't, you'd find it too noisy. It was an ok place to stop on our way down south. Next time we'd stay in the Country Inn in Beckley, much nicer.

I stayed here from Aug 17 to Aug 21the staff was very helpful we were looking for things to do and Felish helped even looking up phone numbers and asking the next day about our day out. I would say even if it is an older Hotel the staff and and Service was great. I will stay here again.
