“Very Nice B & B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

It was a quick one night stay while visiting friends in the area. Room was large, comfy and clean. There was good coffee in the room. Breakfast was delicious. The cheesy eggs with the homemade green chili salsa is a must try as are the home made breads and granola. Next time, we'll plan a longer stay.

My BF and I stayed here on our leaf peeping weekend trip last fall. The B&B was really charming, and the couple that run it very friendly. The rooms were clean and the bed comfy. The fireplace to sit in front of in the evening with our wine while playing a card game was also a nice touch. Breakfast was great. Lots of homemade breads and pastries to chose from, yummy eggs. There aren't too many places to stay out this way, and they did a really great job of making it homey. An equally nice touch was the email we got a week later (after the snowstorm) thanking us for our stay.

Based on the very positive reviews from Trip Advisor, I reserved room #205 for a recent trip to the Cass and Durbin West VA area. If you are looking for a wonderful, comfortable, impeccably clean Inn with the most accommodating host and hostess....the Morning Gory Inn is for you! Book ahead -- as this lovely Inn gets booked up pretty fast during Fall color, Skiing season, summer and well...just about all year.

We were in the area to ride some local steam engine trains at Cass and Durbin West Virginia and this is a great location for both of those train rides and many others offered in the area. The breakfast offering was 'over the top'...a wonderful buffet of fresh fruit, yogurt, cold cereal selections, toast, fresh (and really good) coffee, juice, tea, etc. etc. As if that was not enough....Rod offered wonderful scrambled eggs each day "plain or cheesy" to meet the needs of all.

The rooms are HUGE - beautifully appointed and the bathroom...almost a spa experience! A fabulous front porch for sitting, rocking, chatting and a lovely TV/conversation gathering room.

Rod and Karin have not left anything to chance...it is truly a FIVE star class act!!!

Thanks Rod & Karin for a wonderfully relaxing time away from our busy schedules. Rod's cheesy eggs were great as well as the rest of a huge breakfast spread. This inn was close to places we had planned to visit: Snowshoe, Cass Scenic Railroad and the Radio Observatory. The pictures you see of the inn are exactly what you will see in person. We are looking forward to another opportunity to stay at Morning Glory Inn.

Unfortunately my wife and I arranged to stay with Karin and Rod only one evening...this time. I foresee a return in the future. Very spacious rooms, tastefully decorated, comfortable bed (Rm 203), quiet. Breakfast included lots of fruit and some homemade goodies (granola and banana bread in this instance), cereals, good coffee, juices--and Rod will scramble you some eggs if you like. Relaxed atmosphere with just the right touch of "white noise" in the distance (Big Spring Fork Crk). Lots of activities to keep one busy within 30 miles or so, including the National Radio Astronomy Observatory at Green Bank, WV, which operates in a huge cellular shadow, so plan on using WiFi while you're at the Morning Glory.

My wife & I stayed here for one night while on a motorcycle ride through West Virginia. We chose this B&B based on the great reviews it received on Trip Advisor. What a great place! The room was huge, beautiful, and spotless. The Inn is located on route 219, tucked away behind the trees and can barely be seen from the road. There is a front porch that spans the entire length of the building, with lots of beautiful plants & flowers, that is great for sitting out & relaxing with your favorite beverage. Breakfast was also included in the rate, and it was a real treat. Eggs made to order, fresh fruit, juices, banana bread, granola, cereal, etc. As a retired couple, my wife & I travel a lot and have stayed at many nice B&B's, but none that was a better deal than this. My only tiny complaint would be that the little wooden bridge we had to cross to access the property was not exactly motorcycle friendly.
