Positives:
1. Close to most anything you want to go to in the area.
2. Clean and neat accomodations.
3. Great Pool, play area, and walking area for kids.
4. NOT directly facing the main road. Cars can fly down the country roads and these are off the main road with plenty of space between.
5. Nice grilling areas outside for a more "camp" like experience.
6. Beatiful view .
7. Additional "fun" activites offered by the owners - the Outfitters (hunting fishing experiences), tours in the "back country". All with costs associated.
8. Cable TV and Wireless Connection (you must ask when you check in what the network key is, you won't find it posted in the room anywhere and is a few miles back to the check in area if no one is home in the owners house that sits on the property)

Negatives:
1. No Cell Phone Coverage - no phones in cabins. (this could be a positivie for some)
2. No alarm clocks/clocks.
3. None of todays typical conveniences in the rooms: blow dryer, iron, ironing board, etc.
4. Mattress and Pillows are very hard.

All in all, it was a great experience - we just needed to know some things in advance and we would have been more prepared.

While the owners have a down to earth atmosphere and way about them, they can be overbearing and definitely have a salesman mentality in that they try to persuade you to partake in their activites that have costs associated. It is a business!

If you don't mind constant dog barking the cabins are nice enough... Lot's of rules and regs that kind of make you feel as if they will evict you at a moments notice.......One unbearable aspect was the vinyl cover on the mattress....If you've never slept on an air mattress you won't know what I'm talking about, but they make you sweaty and sticky in the morning.....I found this to be unacceptable...I mean I can understand wanting to preserve your property but that was going a little to far.....It made nighttime something to dread.....

After months of searching my sister found this place. We live in ny and she lives in nc so it was halfway so it worked for eveyone. The cabins are new or close to it some have fireplaces and some have woodstoves, but there is also a heater built into the wall for heat. This was a great place for a small family reunion. there is not much to do there but the caves are awesome and the mountains are magestic. Hunting well lets just say you better shoot on top and hope your camp is on the bottom. fishing stream behind the cabins thats fishable. will we go back yes

We took our two teenagers here and they absolutely loved the place. The pool was clean and the grounds were lovely. The cabins were nice, just enough room for our group of 4. Loved the wooden swing on the porch.
