Antonios appears to be a new Morgantown restaurant on the bottom floor of the old Seneca Glass Factrory, which has now been converted to shops and such. The "new" I base on balloons and temp signs "now open" out front. Of the three "nice" restaurants I had dinner at on a recent visit to Morgantown, Antonios was clearly the best. The decor, though somewhat impersonal on the inside (but not in the entry way - which had cool old family (I assume) memorabilia), was tasteful and thought out (music decor ok too if you like or can tolerate Frank Sinatra at a fairly high volume).
I had a caprese salad with tomato slices, watermelon, mint leaves, mozzarella cheese and a drizzle of balsamic. Excellent. Then I had a dinner special, risotto with corn kernels and pieces of wild boar and cranberry sausage. I got the half-portion, which they allow with pasta. Again, it was excellent. Several glasses of house pino grigio were fine, too.
The only downside was the service. Very, very earnest, but lacking in timing and coordination. I assume this will get worked out in short order as the restaurnant matures.
