“Was ok for a one night stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Stayed here on route home form the south. I picked this hotel I booked on line because it was cheap and we only needed a place to lay our heads for the night. The hotel itself was just ok very dated but kept up. Room and bed were ok it was clean and for our purpose it suited. Had a WalMart near by but not much in the way of food.

We stayed because of being pet friendly, however I cannot recommend this hotel. Ramada's info indicates their properties are individually owned and operated - obviously the owner of this hotel hasn't wanted to spend any monies on bringing it up to date - here's my complaints: cobwebs on ceiling, coffee maker not working (they didn't even empty water from previous guest) so overflowed when I tried to use; internet not working; electrical outlet came away from wall when trying to plug into; bathroom tub caulking black and mould, black hairs on bathroom floor and bathmat (not ours); bathroom door has wood coming off frame; light switches have hand grime on them; back of TV remote was missing; furniture in room is all damaged and worn, the guest services directory in the room was disgusting - the pages were falling out, the pages had been wet and just left in the book, ink was smeared on pages; the room decor is soooo outdated. The food in the restaurant was good but service was not that good - had to wait til the waitress finally saw us sitting there (even though there were no other guests sitting at tables). You do get 10% off your food and complimentary breakfast (doesn't make up for the overall experience). We have stayed in hotels in DR, Mexico and Cuba that were in better shape than this particular Ramada and to top it all off - it is a conference centre!! Don't let hotel pictures fool you - they were probably taken when the hotel was first built
