“Overall a good experience, better than expected, a bit outdated...”

Just stayed at the Lakeview and was very wary after reading all the reviews here but was pleasantly surprised. Was just staying for a week's vacation time with another couple's time share at the condos. It was a bit outdated but we're not picky with our rooms, as long as things aren't falling apart and there's plenty of hot water and the kitchen was stocked with the minimums to cook a good meal, I'm happy.

The front desk definitely needs improvement as it seems to have a bunch of teenagers running the place. This is your front line of making an impression, if they could provide some more customer service basic to their employees it would make a very big difference. We did try to ask the front desk to send housekeeping to come clean and provide new towels and sheets and they seemed clueless as to what we were trying to request. Isn't this a resort/timeshare facility, isn't this a normal request? Very strange. We did ask for a cot and our garbage disposal got clogged and that was promptly addressed.

We were extremely impressed with the fitness center, it was like a full-blown gym facility not a cheesy hotel gym. There were indoor tennis, racquetball, daycare, full schedule of gym classes except on Fridays (very strange, people don't exercise on Fridays)?

We only tried the Legends restaurant and it was typical bar food but we were impressed with the Prime rib and Fish and chips. They had great happy hour deals as well, bucket of 5 Buds for only $7!! great deal! and they had live entertainment which was very enjoyable which added to local flavor.

Did get a hot stone massage at the Spa Roma along with 2 other friends and we all loved it! The building is very misleading, pretry ugly brick thing but when you walk in, its all a spa should be. The facility itself is not that big but it was great to just get away and get your massage. Doesn't have alot of extras like lotion, hair products, bath products for your after shower, which would have been nice.

There was a Super Walmart nearby for shopping and several fast-food type restaurants nearby, Outback, Ihop, McDs..etc.

As for things to do, unless you golf or like to fish, there's not alot to do. There's also caverns and white water rafting. So if you're looking to do alot there's really not much. We even headed downtown and there's nothing there but we did find a new restaurant called Boathouse Bistro which still needs some kinks worked out of it but overall a pleasant surprise.

So, don't expect alot from the condo/hotel facility and the service, both need updating. But if you plan to just use the pool, work out and golf its great. And you're very close to the Lake as well to enjoy the views.

“Customer Service & Communication is Lacking”

You can never tell a book by it's cover. This is so true. Lakeview Resort is beautiful and inviting on the "outside" but my stay and communications with Lakeview, sales people & staff was a nightmare. My daughter was planning a destination wedding and we picked Lakeview for it's location & beauty. We had 170 guests traveling from all over the country for this "once in a life time" moment.

We met with a wedding coordinator over a year before the wedding. Contracts were negotiated - renegotiated, and renegotiated. (Every time it came back, something else was left out or the prices weren't right.) Over the course of the year, the resort had an extremely high turnover in employees. We had 4-5 different wedding coordinators, and had spoke to various sales reps, numerous times. There is a HORRIBLE problem with communication.

We had some of the "normal" problems that you face when you're traveling, (no clean towels, front desk not knowing where events were) but when you are expecting "above & beyond" service for an advent, this fell very far below my expectations.

I spent a large portion of the reception taking care of things that the staff should have taken care of. The horsd'oeures were not served in a timely manner, and they ran out of one of our choices, so they "substituted" without asking us. I wasn't served salad or cake because I wasn't physically sitting at the table at the time the server was there. The reception room didn't have air conditioning. That's something that is beyond anyone's control when things break, but what is in someone's control is CUSTOMER SERVICE. The room was hot, stuffy & sticky and I asked the "wedding coordinator" to put fans in because people were extremely uncomfortable and she said, "We don't have any!" If this resort???? had good customer service, I, first of all wouldn't have had to ask for the fan, they would have called a rental center or gone to Wal-Mart to make sure that their guests were taken care of.

The day after the event, we spoke with the establishment and voiced our concerns, but once again, we're waiting for a call back, an e-mail or a text message. Communication isn't "lacking", there is none.

My daughter's "Once in a life time" event will be well remembered, but not for the right reasons.

The attribute that sets hotels, restaurants, resorts apart.... is there seamless drive to provide great customer service. I saw NONE of that at Lakeview.

“Disappointment”

We traveled to Lakeview for a "destination/resort" wedding the weekend of July 6-8th and what a disappointment. After much confusion (including the availability of rooms and the price per night being misquoted) and multiple phone calls to the resort months in advance, we were finally able to confirm our reservation in a two bedroom condo. We arrived at the "resort" friday late afternoon, the check-in went smoothly and the staff were very pleasant.

Upon entering the condo we were shocked at the musty smell and the dark glum appearance. The condo is spacious but the furniture and fixtures are all very old and could use some major updates. The bedlinens and towels were old and ragged. Not to mention that the pillows were flat from years of use (we really regretted not bringing our own).

On a side note, the bridal party went to SpaRoma to get our hair done, the staff was not very nice and were actually rude to the bride of all people.

The grounds are very pretty and the golf course was well kept. The wedding setup (on the 10th tee) was very beautiful and serves as a perfect ceremony site.

As for the reception, I would not recommend using this facility for special as special as your wedding. The air conditioner was not working and the reception hall was extremely hot causing the guests to be rather miserable. After multiple requests for something to be done, the staff slowly started to bring in fans. At this point, the fans did little to cool down the room, not to mention that hours went by before the fans were brought in. The dinner service was very slow and sporadic and the wait staff seemed inexperienced (dropping things all over the room). We sat at a table for 8, three guests were served their meals and were very politely waiting for the rest of us to get our meals before eating. After 15/20 mintues went by, we suggested that they start eating before their food was cold. They were done eating before the rest of the meals came out (which did little to help since we realized that the meals were being served cold anyway). One guest asked that their meal be cooked a little more/reheated and they were told that the kitchen was already shut down and they were no longer cooking. The dinner selections did not seem to be consistent, some were served with red potatoes and some with twice-baked potatoes (not what was selected by the bride).

Overall, this is not a place for a "resort/destination" wedding. The staff didn't seem experienced enough to be dealing with a big event such as wedding reception. This is surprising due to the number of events that they seem to host. They may do better with golf outings and business meetings but really seemed to drop the ball on ensuring a very special day for the bride & groom, especially after all their planning.

I was in a wedding on July 7th 2007 at Lakeview. We had all been looking forward to the trip for some time, but when we got there is was another story.
We stayed in a condo. We had some extra people so we had asked for extra beds before we got there. They charged ten dollars extra a night for each one we had, when they said they would be free. No one came to give us clean towels or change the trash no housekeeping at all.
The pools were nice and clean. I did like how there was one just across the street.
The spa now that was one of my biggest disapointments. I have done hair in the past and not once would I ever treat a bride like they treated my bride. The women that did her hair from the begining was just mean. The style a bride picks is up to a bride. It shouldn't matter if the stylist likes it, or the shampo that the bride uses.. The updo did not even make it to the wedding it fell out and I had to redo it. The Spa a waste of time and money.
The wedding at the tenth tee was nice we were all getting ready for the party after. NO AIR!!!! It was so hot in the room half of the guest went out side. The service in the wedding was terrible. I was in the wedding party and was one of the last table to eat the food was cooled and not good at all. The decorations were nice thanks to the people that did that. Good thing that they came with us or it would have never been decorated. So a once in a life time event was filled with head aches that Lakeview didn't take care of. Lakeview for a wedding?? Girls just say NO!!!!

My family, a party of 7, traveled from Washington State for my nieces wedding. When she told me it was going to be at a Resort I had anticipated elegance, comfort, relaxaztion, and 5 star customer service throughout our stay. To my surprise we received none of these. I booked our rooms months in advance and had requested that they be connecting if possible or at the very least right next to each other with an early check-in. Our rooms were neither next to each other and early check-in was out of the question, our rooms were not even ready by the 3pm check-in time. The atmosphere in the rooms left much to be desired, they were small and outdated. The linens were very uncomfortable, scratchy, not a very high tread count, the pillows were old and we only had 2 for each bed. The towels were of low quality also. One of our rooms had a problem with spiders, and the ceiling was falling off on to the floor. In the entrance area that was near our room, there were numerous spider webs all across the ceiling in the corners, it looked like it had not been cleaned in months, YUCK! At the discounted $80 per night, per room, I would say definetly not worth the price.
The breakfast buffet was over priced, most Hotel chains offer this type of buffet breakfast at no cost, Lakeview charge 12.99 per person, OUTRAGOUS! I do have one good thing to say about the breakfast buffet, our waitress was EXCELLENT! Our parties both times were very large and she was extremely pleasant and helpful.
My son's golfed during our stay, and they typically golf in our area at some of the best golf courses in Washington State, the prices at Lakeview were much higher, and for the resort to expect my niece to pay for tee times if her guest that was going to golf was ill and could not golf is totally unacceptable. By booking her wedding there she provided the Resort with an extreme amount of revenue.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful, however the vans were not available to take guests to the tee nor were they readily available to return them to the reception area.
The reception set up was elegant, but it too had major issues. Our table was missing a place setting, they ran out of the stuffed mushroom appetizers with in 20 minutes and they did not put the fruit trays out in a timely manner.Dinner was nearly a disaster, it took forever for it to be served, the Prime Rib was excessively fatty, side dish portions were small, and trying to get a waitstaff to help you was next to impossible. It was extremely hot and stuffy in the room and that situation was not remedied quickly and effectively. Not all quests received a piece of the wedding cake, at least 4 at our table did not.
We enjoyed being with family that we had not seen in years, I only wish that it would have met up to our expectations as far as accomodations and services provided.
