The room needed upgrading..TV from 1980...bad bedspreads, yellowish sheets...not too inviting. Thin walls, and ceilings. Fire alarm went off at 11:30pm. Went to clear the building, which no one else did...must have been a false alarm. Tried repeatedly to call front desk to find futher information. Line busy for 45 min. We made sure where closest exit was; just in case. Wanted to be close to WVU and this is where we ended up. Not very close. Won't stay again. Was tolerable for the one night, but don't stay for an extended time. Kinda dumpy.

This was the second time staying here. Apparently the rooms have been remodeled, but when I got in, it still looked the same. Old, grundgey/crappy looking, smelled weird, and had very thin walls. The place looked great from the outside, but a total RIP OFF, and I paid $50 on priceline. I hear the Clarion Hotel Morgan is much better.

Where do I begin? This place is horrible! I was there to attend a wedding and the staff, even though very nice, has no clue how to run a resort or have a clue on how to handle a wedding. The bride/groom made up gift bags for the guest and only half of the guest got them. The rooms were not worth the money that they charged the guests and you should not have to pay $10 per day for a refrigerator in the room. The bathrooms were tiny and our safe did not work. They charged us for it, but we were such in a rush to leave the resort that we did not notice until we were in the airport. The breakfast and dinner was very expensive for what was on the buffet. The tuna steak was very dry. I will not even touch on how much they messed up on the actual wedding. It was like it was there first time having a wedding. Very unorganized! I would tell people NOT to have a wedding here! Stay far away from the resort.

Our daughter started at WVU this year and we opted to move her in a day early during Student, Parent Orientation day. We drove from Easton, Pa. in the early morning hours arriving in Morgantown in time for the morning activities. It was an all day affair and we did not arrive at the hotel until 8:00 pm. Totally exhausted we checked in and received our room key for the top floor(third). We took the small elevator, which was located near the front desk, up and began walking to our room. To our dismay our walk in the hallways was almost more that we could take. They are not air conditioned and seem to go on forever even having a ramp to climb up during one point in our journey. We carried our bags to the room, a huge mistake and fell exhausted onto our beds. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was very nice. Our complaint is that for such a large hotel there is only one elevator. We then proceeded to park near the exit closest to our room but we still had to walk up three floors in the heat. They are in desperate need of another elevator or two. The rooms were very comfortable but we will not stay there again.
