“OLd Clark Inn - ...was great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2012

Stayed at The Old Clark Inn for 4 nights and used it as a home-base for some motorcycle touring in the area. Owners Nelson and Andrea were both very nice and gracious hosts. Room was clean, had private bath and AC on a few dog days of summer. Front porch was relaxing after a day on the road. Free internet and phone too. Nelson offered up some great roads for riding, and also offers covered parking for your bike, with a few tools, air compressor, etc if needed.
All in all, it was perfect for what I was looking for. Will absolutely visit again when in that part of the area.

Our room was attractive and very clean. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and breakfast the next morning. Would definitely stay here again.

The Old Clark Inn is an inn built in 1924. I stayed on the second floor, this floor has a shared bathroom. I was a little apprehensive of sharing a bathroom. Totally not a problem. Durning a good breakfast of cereal, fresh fruit muffins and more, in a cozy room where I met other motorcyclist, bicyclist and other travelers. Easy access to great isolated roads. In the evening most visitors sat on the porch, talked and watch the hummingbirds feed. Nelson offered riding advise, covered bike parking, an air compressor and cleaning supplies. This is the place to stay for a motorcyclist. A great place to stay, with friendly people, I will be back to stay at the inn and ride more of WV roads.

Very nice B&B with rich history and accommodating innkeepers. Arrived a day after the devastating storms hit. Nelson was helpful giving me power outage updates prior to my arrival. Breakfast was simple and delicious with coffee, juices, bagels, muffins, cereals and fresh fruits (loved the fresh local blueberries!). Room 1 was great with queen bed and private shower (no tub). Not many choices for dining in Marlinton. I visited Dorries on Andrea's recommendation and was pleased with the simple menu and friendly service. Will stay here again!

Arrived a day early due to the weather and power outages in WV, they were most accomodating to find room for us. Breakfast was light and healthly but enough to sustain us for a bike ride on the Greenbrier River Trail from Cass back to Marlinton. Rooms were cozy and well appointed... there were 3 (adults) of us and we had NO problem fitting into the room. Had a great time!

For the price, this was an excellent stay. The inn keeper is very helpful. The property is very clean and appeared as on the website. You will use the guest refrigerator for beverages because no restaurants in town have a liquor license. There are some in short driving distance. The rooms are small in size; however we were on the road most of the day and this was not a problem for us. It is a very quiet place to stay. Restaurants in town offer a very limited choice.

Room Tip: Rooms can have a private shower.

We spent the weekend motorcycling through the beautiful countryside surrounding Marlinton. The Old Clark Inn was a perfect homebase for our long weekend. The Innkeepers, Nelson and Andrea were very helpful and are very accomodating to "bikers." Covered parking and a clean up station made our stay even better. The breakfast was substantial with cereal, muffins, bagels, breads, yogart and fresh fruit...juice, coffee, tea. We made ourselves at home on the front porch swing and cooled off with a few beers. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. We were very pleased with our stay and we will be back to visit again.
