“Nice Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2009

Passing through Lewisburg, and just happened upon this place for lunch. Very good food, friendly staff, exactly what we were looking for. Lewisburg is a neat place, worth spending a few minutes exploring the town if you have time.

“Always a reliably good meal, just be prepared to wait.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2009

There aren't a lot of options in Lewisburg. Food and Friends is a great one. Reservations are encouraged but not necessary if you don't mind waiting 20-30 minutes. I've eaten there many times and never had a bad meal. Wines are reasonably priced. Food is always appropriately cooked. I've eaten seafood, pasta and steaks. All are good and I'd probably recommend them in that order. Although you will likely not be running off to do something else after dinner in Lewisburg, do be prepared for a wait. Service is a bit slow but due to being busy. Including appetizer, bottle of wine, entrees and desert, plan on spending $75-100 for two adults.

“Consistently Mediocre”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2009

Just as my title describes...the food is always the same, never bad, just not all that people rave about...just the same, you have to give them that, they are very consistent, which I imagine is hard for a restaurant. I can't believe they are ranked number one though... Lewisburg has The Tavern, The General Lewis, Julian’s, Stardust, all of which have a edge over Food and Friends, this is a place I recommended often when I know the people don’t know the difference in good food. I assure them they will have a good meal, but nothing to write home about....

“Delicious food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2009

I had the filet and my wife had the bourbon salmon -- both dishes were delicious. It was the best meal out I've had in a few months. I definately recommend dining at Food and Friends if you get the chance.

“So Many Options So Little Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2008

Great menu you with so many options, it was hard to choose. I went with the bbq mix platter and was delighted. Pulled pork, beef brisket, half chicken, 2 sides and hushpuppies for $10. What a value. Generous portions were nice, but all the meat was tender and flavorful. Wife got a salad w/ homemade honey mustard bacon dressing and was quite pleased. Picked up some chocolate on the way out and was under $30 after tax and tip. What a value!!!! Highly recommended if you're in Lewisburg for lunch/dinner.
