“Fabulous Meal and Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

When attending the Greenbrier Classic Golf Tournament, we always eat in Lewisburg. Our meal at Bella Casa is always wonderful and this year was no exception. We had 4 different entrees and they all were perfect. Because it was a busy weekend they had brought servers from their Beckley restaurant. Ours was Michelle and she was delightful and did a wonderful job. We will certainly put Bella Casa at the top of our list whenever we return to the area.

“The North End of Boston - West Virginia style”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

From the moment we asked for assistance in bringing a friend into the restaurant more easily, due to her temporary need to use two canes, through to my request for a brief tour of this unique restaurant after dinner, we were treated with first rate attention and service. Our waiter was most accommodating (Thank you, Jeremy O'Sullivan) the food was excellent and the restaurant is charming.

We are from Boston and often eat at the many Italian restaurants in the North End. This experience was definitely on par with those we have enjoyed at our Boston restaurants.

The Bella Casa is located in a lovely neighborhood and the outdoor dining area is surrounded by a beautiful garden. We chose to sit inside because of our friend's current medical condition and I expected to be disappointed in the dining room, after observing these lovely outdoor tables, however it was so quaint and comfortably cooled on this hot day that we enjoyed the atmosphere tremendously.

All in all, this was a great dining experience.

“Poor management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

The last two times we were there the service was terrible. We even called the owner and he did nothing. We were there to celebrate Tuesday night had a new server who was as sweet as she could be. However she really was not trained well and although lots of other waiters no one, even the manager helped her. The manager was rude and we thought she was going to throw chairs off the deck while we were eating. Probably will not go back unless management is changed.

“Excellent and Affordable in Lewisburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Two couples dined here 6/17. We looked at many restaurant menus at the Lewisburg Visitor Center and were surprised at how expensive Lewisburg restaurants were. Competing with excellent Philadelphia and D.C. restaurant pricing. Probably the influence of nearby Greenbrier Resort but, we all felt that the area and offerings generally didn't support the prices we saw.

Our hotel (Fairfield Inn) suggested Bella Casa (the Visitor Center didn't have a sample menu). Wonderful suggestion! We opted to dine indoors (visit 6/17/13). Ambiance was nice though the room was small and, therefore, a little noisy.

The house salad is great: a small antipasto. We can recommend the house dressing, an oil base with herbs. Two had Veal Frances ($18.95) and declared it "wonderful". One had Veal Parmesan ($18.95) and felt it ranked with the best she has had in years. The Orange Roughy ($18.95) was lightly crusted and grilled - excellent. Though opted for beer that evening, the wine list was excellent and well priced. House wine-by-the-glass was $6.00. Imported and premium beer was $4.25, domestic $3.25. Beer offerings were adequate. Service was excellent and all were friendly.

In addition to the entrees we had 3 bottles of imported beer, one coke ($2.50) and 2 desserts (free, compliments of the Fairfield). Total tab was under $94.

After looking at what was offered (via menus) at many of the up-scale restaurants in Lewisburg, Bella Casa was a great choice. The entire experience was excellent.

“Worst Lunch ....Not worth $1”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

I ordered lunch to go... cheesesteak with onions and mushrooms. My bill was $10 for a sandwhich a little high... but willing to pay if good.
The worst.... dried out and burnt. Im ashamed that their chef's would even let this be served.
