Another wonderful and romantic anniversary at the General Lewis Inn. Great rooms. We love sitting in the foyer by the fireplace drinking coffee and talking to other guests. Breakfast with traditional county ham and grits. Yum, yum!

We stay one night. Room was a little bit small, but clean and nice. Good sleep. Good dinner and breakfast, lobby with fireplace, old fashion camfortable chairs, wirelless internet - we will be back to this coolest city and nice hotel.

Room Tip: There no pool and fitness,I just can't clean stars and say "not applicable"

We have stayed at the General Lewis Inn many times in the last 20 years and have never been disappointed. Every room is unique and every time we find a "favorite", we try another one. If you want a cookie cutter chain hotel room, this inn is not for you. But if you want a pleasant, unique experience in a well decorated historical inn with a small but superior restaurant, you won't find a better place.

My husband and I spent one night at the General Lewis Inn. We were on the second floor overlooking the garden. We had a smaller, but beautiful room. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and a great breakfast in the dining room. Hurricane Sandy's effect on the weather cut our time short during this visit to Lewisburg. We will return to this neat city and stay again at the General Lewis Inn.

My husband and I just took a honeymoon trip to the General Lewis Inn. It was cut short due to the weather but our quick stay there was enjoyable. The place is really neat and there is so much history and a short walk to the town. We are for sure going to take another trip up there when the weather will be better. Everyone was very friendly and the food was amazing!!

The Inn is the perfect place to enjoy all that Lewisburg has to offer...antique shops,Greenbrier Valley Theater,Carnegie Hall and on and on. The dining room is top rate and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff at all times was pleasant and accommodating to any requests. Especially nice is that each room is a little different than the next offering a variety from which to choose. We have stayed there in the past and always look forward to the return trip.

Room Tip: Be sure to look on-line at the size and bed type in each of the available rooms to assure the room y...

We arrived 45 minutes after check in and our room was still not available. They didn't even offer us a glass of ice tea while we waited. The bed was so high we had to swing our leg up over the edge. You couldn't sit down on it even standing on tip toe. The bathroom was so small I stubbed my toe on the tub half the time I went in there.

Room Tip: Don't get the garden room.
