“Droop Mt.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Very interesting! There are several trails to hike and very nice picnic areas. The view from the tower is beautiful! The museum is small, but very informative! You can spend most of the day if you like to hike and have a picnic!

“Great walking tour of battlesite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We hit this park on our Hillsboro/Marlinton trip. The hike (or drive) following a dirt path along the mountain ridge is easy and informative. Following along with the informational stops gives you a sense of feeling as to what happened during that battle. Let your imagination go while you are in the battlefield. The walk is about an hour depending on how many stops you make. The lookout tower is well worth the trip as the views are fabulous. We missed the museum as it was after Labor Day and it seems like almost no museums or visitors centers are open during the week. The Seneca Rocks Discovery Center was closed when we went there as well.
