“Beauty all around.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Lots to do and see at Droop Mt. There are some great hiking trails the look-out tower and a small museum. The park ranger is very friendly and knowledgeable. Try to catch the Civil War reenactment which is in October. They have tents and women in period dress, some tents sell food that would have been served during that time, and a few vendors selling memorabilia. The park also has plenty of picnic areas and playground for children (and adults).

“Amazing views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

beautiful place to visit. View from tower is amazing. Walked overlook trail, which was a lot of fun. Would recommend marking trails with a few more signs and also placing a map on the outside of one of the main offices to show trail heads. Otherwise, beautiful walk, watched an eagle. lots of photo opportunities.

“Nice picnic area. Unusual lookout tower”

Large parking lot for several cars. The view over the valley from the top of the tower. Battlefield markers along the road that you can read from your car.
