My wife and I decided to try the 1863 Tavern (something of a misnomer since they don't serve liquor) based on other TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed, but quite pleased with this local eatery. The clientele aren't what you'd find at Applebee's, but that was fine with us. It was nice to eat in a restaurant that just serves great food... no bar, no TVs with non-stop sports, and no loud music. We were a bit unsure of how the service would be at first, but our waitress was right on top of things once she got to us. And then, the food. My wife had a lightly grilled flounder that was delicious and I enjoyed some great ham along with baked potato and salad. The Italian dressing seemed homemade. But the thing that topped it all was the cinnamon rolls. They came out with dinner along with wonderful fresh dinner rolls, but the cinnis made a wonderful dessert. All in all, a wonderful dinner!
