“Loved it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

A welcome change from regular breakfast fare. Not too heavy but still filling. I ordered and omelette with lots of fresh vegetables. And all is made to order so when so asked for egg whites only, no problem! I definitely recommend.

“Decent place for breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

On a recent visit to Charleston WV, I searched for the best breakfast there and First Watch came up so off we went. The place is spotless - sunny and clean and the service was great. The menu looks great. I ordered a Greek omelet which had a cute name and my husband got an avocado and bacon omelet. Both were average. My Greek omelet had a ton of canned black olives on top and huge rings of uncooked purple onions on top of that. The feta cheese was OK, but of supermarket, pre-packaged quality. The potatoes were fine also - nothing spectacular, nothing terrible. My husband's omelet was of the same quality. Really nice place - and we really wanted to love it. The absolute best breakfast place we have ever been to is Mother's in Portland Oregon. First Watch just isn't in the same league.

Harrietlou - Thank you for visiting! We are happy you enjoyed our friendly, clean atmosphere, but we are sorry to hear our food fell short of your expectations. We want you to love us too, so we will take your feedback about our omelettes and potatoes very serious. We hope you give us another try in the future because we want to be your favorite place for breakfast!

“Diner Fare Done Right”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

First Watch is first on the list for traditional breakfast fare in Charleston. The place is always crowded - but the line moves fast due to an efficient staff. Everything here is fresh, and put together well. Breakfast and lunch only - and about the only time I'd say to say away is right after church ends on Sunday. My favorite is the breakfast scramble - a kind of a scrambled eggs Florentine with decadent Hollandaise sauce served on whole-grain toast. My daughter goes with the kids pancakes every time and my wife likes the crepes, wraps and sandwiches. Bottomless cup of coffee - what more could you want?

“Loved it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

We decided to eat breakfast here because of all the great reviews and it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We walked in and were seated immediately. Our server did an excellent job. She brought a carafe of coffee to us upon being seated. We liked their menu because it had a variety of healthy choices. We both chose poached eggs with turkey sausage. He had the blueberry crunch pancake, and I chose the carrot cake. Both were good but after trying them both I preferred the carrot cake. Everything was hot and fresh. Being from Atlanta, we had never heard of First Watch. I discovered they have a couple of locations around Atlanta and several locations in Florida where I understand they originated. In our travels we will definitely be looking forward to eating at First Watch again. There were so many interesting menu items that I can't wait to try. I highly recommend you giving them a try.

This place is clean and bright. They had so many interesting dishes, especially for such a small town. The coffee was wonderful and the people were nice.
