We stayed here for rest on the way to Ohio. Boy was this a super find. Beautiful rooms and friendly staff. Excellent all around with spacious rooms and quiet. Yes we are planning to return here for a stay and to check out the area.

I had the good fortune to stay at Holiday Inn in beckley last friday evening

I was travelling with my wife and four small children, we had reserved a suite with two queen beds. As we planned to arrive very late , I called ahead from the road to confirm the room and also make sure we would have a crib for our youngest.

When we arrived, all was in order, and we were also impressed to find that the entire facility is smoke free. One small hiccup, the crib bed was not available and it was already quite late (half past midnight !). We were reassured by Dawn at the desk that she would do her best to locate a crib. A short ten minutes later, and she called us in our room to let us know that she located a crib at another hotel in Beckley and that the security guard from that hotel would bring it to our room within the next fifteen minutes. true to her word, the crib arrived as promised.

Dawn showed great resourcefulness and also communicated clearly to us as to who would be arriving at our room. She reacted perfectly in solving the problem and never once questioned whether we had reserved the crib or to whom we had spoken even though there were no instructiuons left at the front desk or on our reservation regarding our request for a crib. It was a nice extra to be informed in advance exactly who would be showing up at our room door with the crib.

The room was clean and comfortable and a perfect fit even for our family of 6.

The breakfast the next morning was hot, fresh, and offered significant variety. With our four children, it was especially nice that the breakfast buffet offered many healthy choices, and not just glazed donuts and sugary rolls like some hotels. The waitstaff at breakfast was extremely helpful and very patient with our small children.

Overall the cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding and the service is outstanding. It is obvious that your staff takes great pride in their workplace. we will stay again on our next trip through beckley.

Other Holiday Inn's could get a refresher from the staff and managers in Beckley.

Looks and feels brand new. Rooms are well above average for a Holiday Inn and much nicer than most of what you'll find along I-77 through West Virginia. The only annoyances were hearing what sounded like someone running around for a long time in the room above us and that the trash can in the bathroom hadn't been emptied after the previous guests.

This Holiday Inn is clean, nice, new. Swimming pool for kids, jaccuzzi for adults. Kem's restaurant in the hotel was very good for dinner and breakfast (free breakfast for kids). Pasquale's Italian was very good though a little expensive. Campestre mexican was excellent. Fujiyama Japanese was very good-all of these restaurants within a mile. Cracker Barrel was within walking distance of Holiday Inn. There's a coffee maker and fridge in room. We hope to come again for skiing next year and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We couldn't get government rate on saturday night because it was Valentine's Day, and paid a little more than we would've want to, but we got a good rate for sunday night.
It is in a good location, has a liquor store right next to it, where you can buy sodas, chips and candy.
The hotel is pretty new and clean. Our room in the 4th floor had coffee maker, mini-fridge, ironing board, hair dryer.
We stayed there 2 nights and I took 3 showers, 2 of which weren't with very hot water. I guess the hotel was too busy the first night we stayed because on monday morning there was hot water.
The maid did a bad job cleaning the room, she made the beds and replaced the towels, but did not clean the coffee pot, also the pillows have some thingy's wrapped around them specifying soft or hard pillows, well we found those things on the floor when we came back to the room the next day.
I would recommend this hotel. Overall it was ok.

Stayed 2 nights 20th and 21st September (room 218)

The room was quite large, but the fridge was a mini-fridge and so we struggled to get our water etc. in there. There was no breakfast provided and it seemed quite pricy compared to the other hotels on our stay. In fact we booked 6 months in advance and only saved ourselves $2.00 a night (probably not worth the commitment) as we couldn’t cancel without losing the full cost.

Unlike some of the other hotels we had stayed at there was no preferential treatment for being a member of their loyalty scheme.

The pool was a reasonable size and was warm, but the hot tub was really too warm. However the pool room was cold, so you felt cold. The pool towels were a joke, as these were only hand towels.

Coffee and cups were left for the first night’s stay but were not replenished for our second night. We did discover as we were leaving that there was coffee around the corner from the lobby, but by this time it was a bit late.

The lights in the room were very poor and it made it difficult to read any paperwork etc.

Also the room was a little noisy as the hotel is on one of the routes to the main truck stops.

While making a business trip to Georgia, we decided to spend the night in Beckley. We stayed at the Holiday Inn. The hotel is almost brand new, the rooms were clean and neat.
The room was was somewhat more expensive that what I would have liked to paid for what we got.
there is no breakfast included, although there is a restaurant in the hotel.
Overall decent quick stay, but their may be other options to check.
