“Great Music”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2011

The Lost Parrot is an interesting place... straight up Margaritaville in the middle of the mountains. The staff here is friendly. The place is open late. I can't tell you about the food but the drinks are strong and cheap. The Lost Parrot gets great bands in all the time. I definitely recommend checking their website for more information. I've spent several trips at this bar and it's always a blast. It's a great place to hang with the locals, good for college kids and the busiest spot in town on a weekend. The bar gets packed so get there early if you want a seat. There are multiple levels as well as outdoor seating/dining. Be sure to go whenever Polychrome is playing as they are the best band I've seen at Lost Parrot yet.

“A dive with good pizza”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2011

You can't really get a beach feel here (at least not on a rainy day), but the pizza was good. The music was loud and it seemed a bit of a dive--but then we did go during happy hour. Casual is the word here. The waitress was super-busy, but she was polite and helpful. There aren't many choices in Beckley and the price was right for pizza and beer, etc. They have live music (I think) late at night, but we didn't stay that long. Kind of interesting and not a chain so that's a plus.

“An Escape From Reality in Southern WV”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2011

The Lost Parrot is truly a special place. I've traveled far and wide and have experienced very few establishments like it. The owners have truly put their hearts and souls into making this place what it is, a fun, hospitable place with great food, wonderful service, and incredible people. No matter what you're looking for, a quick bite after work, a quiet cocktail with your girlfriends, or a fun night out with your friends, the Parrot can do it all. Their pizzas are AMAZING. (Try the BBQ chicken... or if you like pineapple, everyone loves the Parrot pie).

They have great live music acts on most nights and a free (!!) shuttle that provides service within a decent radius so you can be safe in case you enjoy one too many. They have one of the best beer selections in the area and more wing sauces than you can shake a stick at. In the summer months, their two-story deck is open for business. Wow. You cannot beat the deck. Period.
