“Better than sleeping on the ground, barely.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

Not dirty, just felt that way. Old, inefficient, not many amenities. If you have to have a place to stay, this will do. But you will not feel good about yourself, and may need to get more sleep after you are done. Surly help, too expensive for the quality, and not much good to say. If you are exhausted, do not have a tent, and just need to close your eyes, this place will work. The only thing worse would be an actual flophouse. Bad breakfast, cramped rooms, old beds. Same price as the Hampton Inn, except I have stayed at the Hampton (almost next door) and this is a poor, red-headed step child to that place.

Room we are in is tired - broken lamp shade, dark - not well lit, sink drains very slowly - like there is not much maintenance being done. No ice machine at this end of first floor - empty space where it should be - must walk to other end of hotel or climb stairs - upstairs actually closer. Must be better Comfort Inns out there. Were in a Sleep Inn(same Choice Hotels chain) three nights ago - very different experience. Also, room is NOISY - can hear people upstairs clumping around at 11pm. Would not stay here again - sorry to say. Would not be surprised to see this place downgraded - how else to explain the tired appearance?

Stopped for the night on the way back from Myrtle Beach to Niagara Falls. Easy to get too being just off the highway. Clean and large looking hotel, not having the small hallways as some do. Actually if there is a southern look this was it.
Walked in to a large welcome area complete with very nice stair case, openness and welcoming.
Rooms were spacious and on the cleaner looking side, wall paper corners and some upper ends were peeling, and not the most well done rubber molding along wall. Floors creaked when you walked so I would not recommend a 1st floor room. Actually my wife got a little spooked at one point when the floor from next door squeaked, just not use too.
But to spend the night on a long trip the value was good, came complete with a continental breakfast of cereal, toast and bagels, sausage patties, egg patties (which I did not know existed), hard boiled eggs, make your own waffles, juice, coffee and well lets just say it is better than most have to offer. Did not see a pool, but a washer and dryer, vending machine and of coarse an ice machine.
Had a shinny restaurant next door that we thought would make a nice spot to eat breakfast upon arrival if the hotel offerings were not up to standards but luckily for us they were because when we left at 7 they still were not open.

Room Tip: 2nd floor due to wooden floors

My wife, brother in law and myself stayed here in march on the way south.. was about the halfway point to our destination in NC... We booked this hotel based on the reviews of this site.. Some of the reviews of hotels in this area were downright scary.. We were very impressed with this Comfort Inn.. Check in was a breeze, room was clean, bed comfortable, staff friendly. Would have prefered two queens over the two doubles, but for the price 85 bucks or so) you cant you cant have everything... Breakfast the next morning was a nice surprise.. was expecting a continental breakfast, But it was a very good (and free) breakfast.. eggs, fresh waffles, fruit, cereal, sausage, coffee, OJ and more..When passing thru this area this will our stopover place of choice in the future.. Definately recommend!

Nice place, Front desk folks were pleasant and the breakfast lady was great. The room was clean. All in all a great stop in WV.

The Comfort Inn is my home Sunday thru Thursday every week. I must say this is a excellent place to stay. The rooms are always clean and the staff are always friendly. I would highly recommend this place for either short term or long term stay.

Found it right off the interstate highway, was convenient and we know the chain well. Staff seemed a bit confused, but got checked in okay. Room was average for this chain, clean and well cared for. A bit noisy late that night, but found out there were several teen-age groups staying there on a skiing trip, so better than it could have been. Breakfast was the normal fair, staff at the breakfast area were pleasant and made sure everything was replenished, even with the large crowds. About normal for what one would expect at a Comfort Inn.
