“Hearty breakfast with lots of choices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2012

Huge selection of breakfast choices served by a friendly and helpful staff. The backwoods french toast, covered with corn flakes is good, but very filling and heavy. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. All in all, this is a pleasant, out of the way spot to enjoy breakfast.

The french toast is awesome -- and so are other menu items.

“Great breakfast, try the specials”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2011

Small but friendly American fare restaurant not far from center of town.

I had a breakfast special, the pork fritter with eggs, toast and coffee.
Quite good.

Toast was thick and tasty.

Service friendly, but not in your face, and attentive.

Will definitely come again when visiting Yakima.

“The place is small but good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2010

I enjoy going there everytime I go in there is always a smile on the waitresses face and the food is very tasty, the meat is never over done, the eggs are cooked with great care. I would say that the breakfast is a home flavore with out having to clean up the mess after.

“Slow Service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2008

Food was okay but service was really slow. Servers were very nice. It took a long time to place our order and over 45 minutes to get our breakfast. Total time from seating to finish eating was 75 minutes. We had to catch a flight in Seattle and were very conscious of the service time. If you go to Backwoods, plan on spending some time.
