Description: Since the year 1999, Zesta Cucina has been a very popular Italian Restaurant with influences from all over the world. Catering to small children and with a special menu for the young adult from 11 to 19 years old. Our menu is seasonal and it changes with different regions from Italy. The setting is always service oriented and the restaurant is perfect for families. It's a fun place for friends to gather with a great happy hour and fantastic banquet facilities.

“Excellent food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

We had dinner with a Yakima-based family during a holiday weekend. It was bustling but we had reservations and fortunately did not have to wait for an open table. Because of the crowd it was noisy but not to the point where we had to shout to be heard. The restaurant features a main dining floor and a smaller loft-like second level overlooking the former. We dined in the upper level. The decor is warm, modern, featuring a lot of wood. There was a mural of a canal scene from Venice (probably from the neighboring island, Burano) on the wall overlooking the loft area.

Naturally the menu features a lot of pasta dishes and pizza. However the grilled meat menu offers 4 cuts of beef and 6 choices each of starch, vegetables, and sauce. This offers the diner a potential 864 combinations to choose from! There was a specials menu and an extra-special one ("fresh sheet") The adults chose from the latter and many decided to splurge on the wagyu short rib which lived up to its reputation. We shared a bottle of red from Washington. A children's menu is offered making the restaurant more family-friendly.

The staff was friendly and attentive. Busboys/girls kept our glasses filled. The owner checked in on us. It may have been on the expensive side but the food was of excellent quality. Zesta Cucina should definitely be on your list of places to dine at when visiting Yakima.

“Good food and drinks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Had not been to Zesta in about 8 years last time in the food was not good. This time however the place was great, We went with friends, I had the Chicken Parm and a craft beer on tap from Leavenworth, WA. the beer was cold and the chicken done. The comp bread was fresh warm and good, too. We will go back again. The cost is a little on the high side. but not a bad value over-all.

“A Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

Zesta is a minor challenge to find the first time, but well worth the effort. We are long-time customers with a deep appreciation of their current offerings and the evolution of their menu, service, and physical layout. In many respects they are Yakima's best value for fine dining. Terrific wait staff. Respectable wine list.

“Bussy place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Zesta Cucina it's a nice Mediterranean restaurant. Overall good food and service. The problem with this place is that it is quite busy and too noisy for my personal taste.
We made our reservations with days in advance, nonetheless we waited about half an hour to be seated. If you want a tip, ask for your reward card before you order, otherwise your dinner won't reward you any points at all.

“Great food”

Not sure why so far down on the list. Great food little pricy but you are getting good quality food. A dress nice kind of place with an overly nice owner don't be scared of him.
