“Clean, safe, comfortable and friendly. Great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2011

The staff seemed genuinely nice and the room was very clean and nicely decorated. Better than I expected for the price. Free cookies in the lobby in the evening and the breakfast was quite good, better than I typically get a hotels in this price range.

Convenient location near downtown in a nice neighborhood. Free WiFi in the rooms. Really everything was wonderful. I'm hard pressed to think of any way it could have been any better. We stayed here because of other good reviews and I'd like to add my own.

We had 2 rooms here for a stay with family. It is in a good location in Yakima. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked properly. This hotel is very good value for money in comparison to other hotels in the area. Free internet in the lobby which we used. The breakfast was exactly what we expected from a free hotel breakfast with cereals, fruit and a waffle maker. Reception was very helpful to us and went out of their way to help us post some post cards. I would stay here again next time in Yakima.

We found the personnel to be friendly and professional. Our room was very clean, spacious and quiet. It had 2 beds, a couch, desk, microwave, mini refrigerator and hairdryer. The room included cookies and milk in the evening and breakfast (precooked eggs, juice, ham, cheese, bagels, English muffins, doughnuts, waffles, cereals) in the morning. We were very pleasantly surprised and would stay there again.

I stayed at this guesthouse, formerly known as Cedars Suites Yakima, for 4 nights. It was one of the lowest priced rooms in the city. The location is good. Minutes from Hwy. 82, the downtown core, Convention Center, Visitor Info. Center and a mall that has a Target and some fast food restaurants. The room was very spacious and clean. Furniture is comfortable, somewhat dated but cozy. Like Archie Bunker's living room. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. The shower and toilet were separate from the sink which can be useful if two people are sharing a room. Rooms have AC which is a good thing since temperatures were in the 90's when I was there. The room was quite dark and my only complaint would be that the lighting could be improved. Breakfast was included in the price and was somewhat better than "free" breakfasts I have experienced at other hotels. The coffee was excellent and the pots were always full. Other items included yogurt, juice, cereal, donuts and waffles which can be made with real batter. I was there midweek and I was not disturbed by any noise at night. Very quiet and the beds were extremely comfortable. The best thing about this hotel were the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. They created a very nice atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again. The only reason I would consider a different hotel would be to have a pool and outdoor area to relax in at the end of or during the day if I were traveling to Yakima in the summer.

I've stayed in other hotels in Yakima and this is the best value. Not fancy, but it has free wifi, complimentary breakfast, it's very clean (lovely housekeeper), and is conveniently located at walking distance from downtown. The staff is friendly and family-owned looking. Cons: the pillow was pretty hard for me and you can hear every step from your neighbour upstairs.Tip: if you don't need it, turn off the fridge as it's noisy.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2011

We were just stopping for rest while on a road trip to Tacoma from Arizona. We arrived after hours (11pm) so we rang the door bell for assistance. The front desk clerk shorted us $10 dollars in change, when brought to her attention, she noted she was not trying to steal it....After checking we got to the second floor room to find it was a single room for our family of four. It smelled pretty bad in the room. We slept on top of their blankets on our own as it did not seem very clean. We checked out at 6:30 am.....For less than an 8 hour stay there total. I would not recommend this place..People were right...you get what you pay for. Thank you Priceline.
