Beds are comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Pool is great when its open. Fitness room is just ok. Breakfast is not great. Scrambled eggs, hash browns, white or wheat toast. Very limited in choices. Would be nice to have a bagel, yogurt, and some pastries. They do have a weird muffin.

This is an older hotel and it shows. They keep the light on for you at another establishment and we could have stayed there for less money and felt better about our experience.. This hotel is in need of some drastic upgrading. Room furniture is old and very worn. The chairs were quite good however. Our room carpet seemed old and could have benefitted from a shampoo. The bathroom had calking in need of repair or replacement. The metal vent was rusted. The paint on the wall was cracked and beginning to flake. The faucet leaked when hot or cold water was turned on. Bed linen was not crisp and seemed thin. Sure hope they were clean as they were either old or had been ordered with a yellow tint. Also seemed to have a bit of an odor. The wash clothes in the bath were a bit stained and so thin you could almost see through them. A bit more bleach might help. I would recommend looking up the street a bit for better quality at an equal price. The free continental breakfast was a bit ho-hum. The hash brown potatoes were plain with little flavor as were the scrambled eggs. Bacon or sausage might have been nice but alas, there wasn't any. Only one type of sweet roll was offered and it was too sweet for me. Cereal, toast, juice and coffee (not great coffee either) was also an option. No restaurant on site so you must go out for other meals but the bar and happy hour are a good place in the afternoon. Had to call the front desk about 11:45 PM to find out what time the pool closed. I was told that it closed quite a while ago so I asked the night person to go and move noisy, (drunk???) people out of the pool area that shouldn't have been there anyway. Perhaps a closed circuit camera or two might help them patrol areas such as this. The elevator looked old and ill kept with old worn and stained carpet in it. Again, there was way too much noise after 11:00 PM. Is it me or are people today less caring about others? Loud closing of doors when most people are asleep seems to be the standard and it was even worse at this place. It was well after midnight before I heard the last door slam. All in all this place gives the impression of an old run down inn that has seen better days. When we checked in (about 3 PM) and when we checked out, about 8:30 AM, there was only one person on the counter and a line of 3 or 4 people. Another desk person would have moved this along much better. I think next time we will try one of the many other hotels in the area where we can receive a better value for about the same price. This is the third time we have stayed in Yakima since June and I wish we have gone to one of the other two hotels we stayed at instead of trying this one. We won't be back!!!

Room Tip: Choosing a good room at this place means booking at someplace else.

Stayed here for a conference and I will never stay here again. For the price- I expected a lot more. Paper cups, old tv., no cable, balcony and elevator felt like they were on their way out. Rooms small, sheets and blankets look and feel like they have been they the ringer. Super old and worn. Lights did not work in the room- feels like they are one step away from closing down.
The gal at the front desk was great and friendly.
I will never stay here again. I would not recommend this place- unless this appeals to you.
