“Comfortable, well priced and great view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Rooms have a great view over the river. Well furnished, comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast was typical of this type of hotel. Rates were reasonable. Location is convenient to get to. Would stay there again.

All rooms overlook the river. Nicely furnished and clean. Standard breakfast typical of this size hotel. The staff was ver courteous and friendly. Mexican restaurant next door, fast food with a short walk. Close to the freeway. We will return.

This property was just a mile from downtown. We took a taxi downtown to sample some of the local wine tasting rooms. It is right on the river and on a trail that follows the river. The breakfast was a little better than most with make your own waffles and hard boiled eggs. The rates were very reasonable. Very clean and comfortable. There was a small outdoor pool by the river.

We had not stayed at this hotel in over a decade, and are pleased to report that it's still a great place to stay while visiting the wineries in the Yakima Valley. Large air conditioned rooms have been updated, and those on the first floor open right out to the Yakima Greenway path along the rushing Yakima River. Go up a floor or two if this isn't a plus, and you'll have a balcony overlooking same. The front desk staff was able to help us store our wine indoors prior to check in (it was approaching 100 degrees, not healthy for wine in the car). We really like this hotel, and the location is terrific. We felt cool and refreshed by the river the whole time we were there.

We loved our 4th floor room in the Oxford Inn in Yakima. The small balcony overlooked the rushing Yakima River and was shaded both am and pm. At dark there was a heron feeding in the river that we could see from the walking trail. The trail is right at the edge of the property and perfect for early morning or evening walks (too hot in midday.) Breakfast included boiled eggs for protein and we enjoyed eating outside in the shade. The cool and calm of the hotel was a great antidote to the heat in Yakima. Hallway carpets needed shampooing but the room was clean and beds were a delight. I'd stay again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: 4th floor is perfect if you want to see the river and look out over the pool too.

Decided to try a different hotel while working in Yakima, wish I had made the change sooner! First the Staff! Excellent! Do you want to be greeted with a sincere warm greeting, thanked for your nights stay and asked if you had a good stay....stay here. I can tell you there is no where in the world you will be treated this well at your check in, or check out. Rooms are quiet, with a great view of the river. Bed is comfortable, everything is clean. A little aged, but looked like carpet and updating in some areas are recent. Easy access to the 82 and getting around. Places close to shop or eat. I will not be staying anywhere else....why would I? Hospitality goes a long way in my book! Breakfast is ok....good coffee.

Room Tip: All rooms are great, they are on the river side, no rooms on the street size, helps for a quiet nigh...

Great view of the Yakima river, good breakfast, nice comfortable room. Loved the hot tub/pool, and the little porch/sitting area outside the room overlooking the river. The microwave and oversized minifridge were also handy. What's not to like? Would come back in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Upper floors have a nicer view of the river.
