“Very good food and welcoming atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

While driving through Wenatchee we decided to stop for dinner and chose McGlin's based on Tripadvisor reviews. This restaurant presents as a casual dining experience in a quasi-pub atmosphere with lots of retro wall decorations, located in an older building in the downtown of the city. The service was prompt and friendly, the menu sufficiently wide in scope to suit most tastes, with a limited but adequate beer and wine list.

As we were both in the mood for a lighter meal, I chose the Flat Iron steak sandwich on ciabatta bread while my spouse chose the roast chicken sandwich. Both came with Tim's potato chips + a small portion of a marinated broccoli salad. As they were featuring local braised asparagus as the vegetable of the day, we included a side order of that as well. The steak sandwich was excellent, with a delicious mushroom demi-glaze along with caramelized onions and an adequate portion of sliced steak cooked medium rare. My spouses sandwich had a generous portion of chicken along with the requisite mayo + cranberries. She reported it as very good. For desert, we shared a piece of apple crumble, which was quite tasty and not overly sweet,

As mentioned above, the service was friendly and attentive. Although not overly cheap, the meal for 2 people with desert and drinks came to only around $35.00. Overall, a good choice for a casual meal.

Locally owned with friendly atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Micro-brews, small plates such as open faced crab- melt sandwich.

“Fresh, unique, filling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

My husband and I consider McGlinn's our go-to restaurant for any occasion with fresh ingredients, unique twists to standard menu items and good value. It's a hard restaurant to categorize because they serve a range of meals from wood-fired pizzas, to vegetarian salads, to seafood, to prime rib. The atmosphere is funky, retro, old pool-hall casual but it still works for celebretory meals like date nights, birthdays and anniversaries. They have their (make that our) stand-bys like their Dungeness crab cakes and the Cafe Michael salad, a deconstructed chop salad and then they feature specials that go with the season--salmon with a unique finish or something grown in the owner's garden. Wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable and quick. You get the feeling they really like their jobs--maybe it's the great tips people leave because the food is so consistently good! Oh! and their Beer Bread is legendary. Check out McGlinn's facebook page for incredible photos of the great outdoor recreation opportunities in McGlinn's community--Wenatchee/Chelan County Washington.

“Best place to eat in Wenatchee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Everything on the menu is worth eating! Fresh, consistent, great service. Everything from healthy choices to decadent blue mac & cheese or hot crab sandwich. Beer bread is a must and they carry two kinds of hard cider, try the pear! They have a great Sunday brunch too. Pick off hours or you might have a wait. Join them on fb as they post amazing pictures of the Wenatchee area!
