While driving through Wenatchee we decided to stop for dinner and chose McGlin's based on Tripadvisor reviews. This restaurant presents as a casual dining experience in a quasi-pub atmosphere with lots of retro wall decorations, located in an older building in the downtown of the city. The service was prompt and friendly, the menu sufficiently wide in scope to suit most tastes, with a limited but adequate beer and wine list.
As we were both in the mood for a lighter meal, I chose the Flat Iron steak sandwich on ciabatta bread while my spouse chose the roast chicken sandwich. Both came with Tim's potato chips + a small portion of a marinated broccoli salad. As they were featuring local braised asparagus as the vegetable of the day, we included a side order of that as well. The steak sandwich was excellent, with a delicious mushroom demi-glaze along with caramelized onions and an adequate portion of sliced steak cooked medium rare. My spouses sandwich had a generous portion of chicken along with the requisite mayo + cranberries. She reported it as very good. For desert, we shared a piece of apple crumble, which was quite tasty and not overly sweet,
As mentioned above, the service was friendly and attentive. Although not overly cheap, the meal for 2 people with desert and drinks came to only around $35.00. Overall, a good choice for a casual meal.
