“Cozy Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

Not only is the food delicious, but the staff is fantastic. Love the atmosphere, you can sit upstairs or downstairs, Small cozy place with a great selection of items on the menu. I strongly recommend giving this place a shot and you will tell your friends and add it to your list of great locations to dine.

“Excellent Italian!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

If you are in the Tumwater, Lacey or Olympia area, stop.
After a long day and after eight on a weekday, we were in need of a good meal. Called for takeout. Ready in ten minutes (it is Italian). And it was heavenly.
We had the Sicilian Chicken Parmesan and Italian Flag (fettuccine alfredo, basil pesto pasta and spaghetti marinara). Huge servings. In your hand felt like five pounds...each. No way we could finish in one sitting. We did...both of us. You just couldn't stop. Every bite was excellent. Truly impressed. "We will be back!"

Taste: Excellent (every bite)!
Price: Fair
Service: (takeout)
Serving size: Huge
Selection: Plentiful
Location: Less than half a mile off I-5

“Great dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

My family and I had dinner here tonight, and were really impressed. We had an amazing server (Alisha) that put that little extra effort that you dont see in restaurants these days. The food was really good but our server was the icing on the cake.....great nights dinner

“Some of the best Italian I've ever had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

you can keep your Olive Garden. Pelegrino's is AUTHENTIC. Yes, I had just had Chicken Fettuccine, but it was unreal. Creamy thick alfredo sauce, noodles just the right consistency, and a unbelievable flavor! The bread was amazing, I wasn't so much a fan of the Olive Oil/Balsamic Vinegar dipping dish, but the waitress quickly brought me a plain Olive Oil dish.

Dessert - Tiramisu - THE BEST I've ever had. REAL ladyfingers. Rich creamy. FIlling.

The atmosphere was relaxing, cozy and quiet but not stuffy. The service was excellent and prompt.

I would recommend this if you are in the mood for Italian. Forget the chains and other stuff.

“Had to return for a 2nd helping the next day for lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We found Pelligrino's online and the ratings were very high. They were so effusive that I wondered if the owners had all their relatives writing for them. No way! This had the best Italian food I have eaten since we left Italy!
The service was prompt and very polite. We went during the early dinner special from 4 to 6 pm. It included a dinner salad with their house Italian (unbelievably wonderful, best italian dressing ever) ciabatta bread with olive oil and the best Balsamic vinegar dipping sauce. We ordered 2 pasta dishes, mine with alfredo sauce and shrimp and his with marina meat sauce. Both excellent! Pasta cooked perfectly, everything hot and fresh. Desert was included, can't remember the name but is was also delicious with fresh strawberries, cake and creamy topping.
We so enjoyed our dinner that we returned the next day for lunch as it would be our last chance to eat there. The lunch specials were also great and had everything except the desert included.
The regular menu was al a carte and would have been a bit spendy for the full dinner experience but I saw the portion sizes and they could be split easily.
It is a small place with limited parking. There is outdoor seating as well as a second floor seating area. Everyone we spoke to was extremely nice.
We will return again if we get back to Olympia/Tumwater and will recommend it to any of our friends who might go there as well. If it was near our house I would probably go there at least twice a month!
