“Good Food, Great selection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2011

Went for lunch which was $11.95 ea for all you can eat. I agree the sushi rolls should be labled but other than that on the food side for the money you can't beat the quality of the foood and the selection. I believe dinner is $19.95 which still seems reasonable though I've not tried dinner there yet. This is the old Shane Company store across from the claim jumper and you'd never know it once you step inside. The decor is very nice and they obviously spent some money re-doing the place.
Service was not great. Our waitress was ok but not attentive at first. Pleasant but maybe new on the job. Overall since it is buffet style your waiter/waitress is supplying drinks only for the most part and I will be back soon.

“Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2011

This is a decent restaurant. Chinese Japanese Cuisine. There's a huge staff always refilling stuff and clearing it away. It'd be a 5 if they labeled the sushi rools so you know what you were eating but its all good anyway!

“Still Full!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2011

My wife and I have driven by this location, a former jewelry store, everyday for the past few months while it has been remodeled (It's across the street from the Claim Jumper restaurant in Tukwila, for those locals trying to visualize the location). There was a sign hung on the side of the building that informed passers-by that Mizuki Buffet was "coming soon". I was beginning to wonder if it would ever open, but now that I have been there, the wait was worth it.

We went there on its fourth day of business. The dining room is open-style, like a large banquet hall. There are booths lining the sides. The food lines the sides of one half of the building. The lighting is just right. Not too bright and not too dark. There are lots of marble, granite, and rustic brick features. The bathrooms are in the same theme. Very nice. All of the fixtures are touch-free, to include one of those super high-powered hand dryers. Not the lame ones from the early 80's that take forever to dry your hands, if at all. No, these are those new ones that dry your hands in one pass.

Now for the food. There is a sushi/sashimi bar at the front of the restaurant. Great selection that appeared to change from hour to hour. Spicy tuna handrolls, abalone, maguro, and halibut sashimi. Some type of beef tartare. Starter kit sushi like California rolls too for the less adventureous.

The food tables along the walls were where you got the hot food. Cooks waited for you at the carving station ready to serve you up a slab of ham, rack of lamb, or prime rib. There was hot dungeness, cold dungeness, hot shrimp and cold shrimp. Breaded frog legs, divers scallops, fresh oysters. BBQ ribs, short ribs, and chicken wings. So much more that I am forgetting. Anyways, very good selection of good quality food.

No alcohol available yet, but the hostess assured me that the restaurant's liquor license was soon coming. The dinner ran about $22 per person and I believe that lunch is about $11. My understanding about the difference between lunch and dinner is that a lot of the dinner seafood, sushi, and sashimi is not available; thus the drop in price. I can only comment on dinner. Well worth the food and you WILL get full. I will definitely be back.
