We had heard the the Cliff House was remodeled and decided to have dinner on a Sunday night with another couple. The view of the Tacoma waterfront was wonderful. The menu was promising. At first, the service was good, but as the restaurant got busier and the kitchen slowed down, our waiter started ignoring us. We could hear what was being said to other tables: "The kitchen was bogged down." We waited 45 minutes or more for our entrees - which left us with a negative impression of the restaurant. We had a calamari appetizer - well prepared - and served before the kitchen was unable to handle the volume. Dinner orders included: fish and chips for each of the men, scallops and roast chicken. The fish and chips were decent, but certainly not the best we have had. Not much comment about the scallops. My chicken was fab, but not very hot - likely due to timing issues in the kitchen.
