I know all the reviews have been good, but my experience was different. The breakfast we had was good, although I didn't expect my veggie scramble to have ham in it. The owner is pleasant, and seems to be the cook, waiter and cashier too. The area where you get your hot water for tea didn't appear clean. Some of the mugs had coffee stains in them, and the tray the cups were on looked unclean too. The bathroom was really bad with stains all over the toilet seat. I guess I would not want the owner to be cleaning bathrooms PLUS preparing my food, so I don't know the answer to how to keep the place cleaner. The big plus in the restroom are the vintage blacklight posters on the walls.
There are lots of interesting books there to read, and very cool wall art, much of it vintage. The place has a real homey feel. I just wish it was a bit cleaner.
Breakfast (eggs) and tea for 2 people was around $18.
